About the Artist
Nick Ashton formed Tin Rooster to create a unique "West Coast Country" sound. Born in Southern California, his influences range from Eagles, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, to Al Dimeola and Rush. His melodies are memorable. His vocal style has a soulful country rock edge. Nick has written music for many other artists and recorded in the U.S. and Europe. His music is true and without pretense. Good solid songwriting performed well.

Max Bennett Bass Guitar
Max has recorded with many top recording artists: Joni Mitchell, Frank Zappa,Frank Sinatra, Celine Dion and many others. As one of the founders of the L."A. Express, Max Bennett needs no introduction to those familiar with the contemporary jazz scene. His playing on this project adds an extra bit of class and taste to the already strong songwriting on the record.

Johnny Helms: Pedal Steel Guitar
Johnny worked with Toby Keith for 10 years, contributing his signature pedal steel sound to eight highly successful albums. He has played with many top Country artists in Nashville and Los Angeles, and is one of the top pedal steel players in the business today.

Mike Miller: Electric & Acoustic Guitars
He performed with Lily Tomlin in the film of her critically acclaimed "The Search For intelligent Life in the Universe," and worked extensively with composer Mark Mothersbaugh (Devo) on numerous movie and TV projects.

Mike worked with Bette Midler in her highly successful "Divine Miss Millennium" tour and at the close of that, recorded a new album for Miss M., "Bette" with producer extraordinaire Don Was. Recently he performed with Natalie Cole on tour and on her television special. Mike's melodic approach to Nick Ashton's songs brought this CD to another level, his parts on the CD are played with soul and meaning, in all the right places.

David Owens: Drums

From the Broadway hit The Lion King to British pop star Thomas Dolby, Oldies Favorites The Righteous Brothers and smooth jazz guitarist Peter White, and now Nick Ashton and Tin Rooster, David's ability to handle any drum chair has kept him working over the years. Born in San Francisco and raised in LA, David started playing percussion in grade school and performed with many bands and orchestras through college. In High School he was drawn to the drum set which became his calling. Years of professional playing and his sight-reading ability has given him the experience to cover any style of music from rock to funk to country to jazz.

At The Movies by Andre Rieu.......2007-05-20

Andre Rieu brings a warmth and pop-like aire to his music.Here he plays popular music with a classical orchestra and adds his special ingredients to it ie:humor (musical jokes for the serious listener),fun,light-heartedness.It's a band of very talented musicians having alot of fun as is evident in the playing and especially if you've seen them in concert.I can "hear" the smiles on their not serious faces by their style of playing...less staccato and with more feeling.Andre and company swing and dance through every track climaxing on Ravel's Bolero from the movie "10".

Andre Rieu presents wonderful songs in a very inspirational way. They are to be enjoyed as "dinner music" or just for times when the TV is off and you need some "quiet time". It is a great grouping of melodies.

Sometimes you just want enjoyable music as a backdrop to the job at hand. I turn to Andre to get me through these events. Probably not a glowing endorsement, but if you know of Mr. Rieu's feelings about music, he would just smile and nod his head. This is music to just enjoy for the sake of music - and that is a good thing.

Another perfect reissiue by collectibles music,This album contains themes from movies.Most of these songs have been unavailable by Faith since Lps went out.This album contains such songs as somewhere my love, this hotel,And we were lovers,This is my song,Alfie,How are things in Glacca Morra and many more.All of these songs are beautifully done Faith style.The album empasizes just his orchestra.Their's no chrous here.The original liner notes to born free are included in the bookelet as well as pictures of Faith probebly from born free under the clear cd holder.The liner notes to Windmills of your mind are not included.If your a collector of Percy Faith's music you have to get this cd since many of these songs are on cd for the first time.

Local rock from Colorado.......2005-01-02

LMD is one of the best bands out right now in the Colorado area. They are great blend of punk and metal, with some of the best energy on stage. Check them out if you ever get the chance, but until then, pick up their album.

This band rocks!.......2004-07-04

I was a huge Pinhead fan, and just recently started going to see LMD shows. And they are just full on in your face rock. Easily one of the best bands in Colorado, and they are going places. I've seen them blow nationals off the stage over and over again.

Good Sequel to this Underrated Series.......2006-02-04

Somewhere down the line, the Brazilian Love Affair series was lost in the shuffle. It's been around since 1998 or 1999, and has five real volumes - 6 if you include the "Brazilika" tribute done by Kenny Dope of MAW in 2004. At any rate this is the second edition in this outstanding series which brings to you artists that are right out of the Far Out label's catalogue of musicians along with some extremely rare cuts. What stands out in this series is the sheer quality of the recordings and talent of the Musicians.

Volume two starts out with an intro to Escravos Do Jo (Joe's Slaves) before the actual song comes on. It's a pretty powerful song... and a bit depressing when you think about it. that song was given a great remix by Da Lata later, but on this album, Da Lata contributed a rendition of "Ponteio". This song saw a bit of over-exposure over the past few years but when it came out back in 2000 (it's not on their feature album "Songs From the Tin" but is on their remix album) it was/still is a magnificent recording. Fusion masters Azymuth team with Marcos Valle team up for "Quem Com Quem", a song with delightful keys and Marco's voice. Celia Vaz & Ape release a trippy "Nas Agua Do Rio". Other tracks that stood out on this were Joyce's "Quarup", Tutti Moreno & Friend's with "Constelacao" and the other Azymuth cuts. Oh, but I think my favorite album on this is the incredible take on "Dindi" by Victor Assis Brasil. It's FAR different than what you would expect from the way Astrud sang the song many years ago. But it really is an amazing version because it's such a different perspective of the song.

Much like the others in the series, this comes highly recommended. It's really nothing like the other electric/european compilations on the market like Brazilectro, Nova Latino, Rio Lounge, etc. This one is a bit more geared towards some of the great artists from Brasil through the years with some exceptional young talent mixed in. Another difference is that this is one disc of tunes, not a double disc set. But as with pretty much all of the Far Out releases,it's more about the quality of the artists and tracks, not the quantity.
