Another Christmas Gift For You
Editorial Reviews The Casuals turn up on 3 tracks from their 1983 cassette-only Christmas release, "It's Christmas Time", including Johnny Spampinato's title tune and a funky little Travis-Shook tune called "Santa's Gonna Party." There's definitely some fooling around (Johnny's trumpet warbling on "Chrithmath in Athol", the thrash version of "Jingle Bells", and anything with the title "Santa's Christmas Cat" obviously qualify), but also the lovely ballad "Memories (Of Other New Year's Eves)"and a good little bunch of traditional songs. We've always hated half-hearted Christmas albums, and this isn't one; in fact, itwas designed to be a pretty good little record to party to, so... MERRY CHRISTMAS, FOLKS!!

About the Artist
The Incredible Casuals and the Chandler Travis Philharmonic (not to mention Pete Labonne, Steve Wood, Remedios the Beauty, Rikki 'n Johnny, Edgar Travers, the Christmas Casuals Singers, and the Fruit Bats)are all fully capable of playing their way out of a paper bag, and have been for quite a while.
Album Description
A collection of 21 holiday favorites by the Incredible Casuals and the Chandler Travis Philharmonic (occasionally in a variety of flimsy disguises), not to mention the amazing Steve "Woo-Woo" Wood and Pete Labonne! Fourteen of these tracks have never been released in any form, including the Philharmonic's "If We Can Just Make It Through Christmas", an offhand attempt at a Wall of Sound (in honor of Phil Spector's immortal "Another Christmas Gift For You", also "honored" in the cover art.)
