About the Artist
Dejha (formerly of 3-D S&M, The Kelly Affair) began The Pin-Ups in the fall of 1998. In the beginning it was a solo venture, however the vision of the music was quickly transformed into a full-on rock band, consisting of Seattle's finest music veterans. Although the retro rock style of The Pin-Ups was influenced by bands such as Blondie, Elvis Costello, and the Police, they have a sound that is truly their own.

The Pin-Ups' music is honest rock and roll with serious attitude. Imagine a roller coaster ride filled with emotional tension, humor, dips, stops and goes that leave you reeling for more.

Dejha's voice is unlike any other: raw, strong, smoky, and filled with emotion. These two guitarists, Dan Kempthorne and Steve Ross (formerly of Green Apple Quick Step), bring an energetic charge to the band that is undeniable. The rhythm section is equally seasoned. Nick Rinehart provides intensely melodic bass lines, which fall right in the pocket of Jason Finn's (formerly of Presidents of the U.S.A.) edgy pop grooves.

As an overall package, live performances are consistently charged with the same excitement and energy. Come see The Pin-Ups for yourself!

I first came across this band while visiting a friend in Seattle who happens to be a friend of Dejha's. The Pin-ups were playing a local bar one night, acoustic session of Backseat Memoirs.
I was instantly hooked. Bought the cd, a t-shirt and i jam to them at least once a day.
Her voice is raw, raging and unique. My favorite song on the cd would have to be "pool side" I hope many people come across this band and buy the cd. It's well worth it and i certainly look forward to more releases from them!! Rock on!!
