One Winter's Night… includes the beloved, sorrowful track Miserere Mei which is featured in the goth-u-mentary Sex, Death and Eyeliner.

One Winter's Night… follows on the heels of MPP's ethereal music compilation What Is Eternal, of which The Machine in the Garden provided the opening track.

Amazingly beautifuled layered dark beautiful vocals. It's one of those CDs you can play the entire way through without skipping a song.

Pretty, but not my cup of wine........2001-10-22

A stunning musical experience.......2001-10-16

Every track of the music is well written and performed, and not laced with trite or stupid lyrics. Many of the songs are moody befitting the title of the album, but they never descend into wallowing drones of incessent self indulgent drivel. Summer Bowman's voice is simply beautiful, and at times almost transcendent. Not too sweet, nor too severe - gorgeous.

Some of the songs would be right at home on commercial radio, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I simply mean that some of the songs are very accessable and they stick in your head long after the CD is over. Frankly, I'm amazed that this band isn't better known than they are. I inquired about them at my local CD store, and nobody had heard of them. That's a shame because these folks have more talent and relevance than most of those millionaire teenagers that are killing commerical radio, if it isn't dead already.

Bottom line: If you're looking for a stunningly beautiful musical experience, this CD is for you.
