Album Description

In the early days, when success was still a pipe dream, guitarist Chad Gilbert had to drop out of high school to focus on the band. Drummer Cyrus Bolooki, turned down a scholarship and a chance to follow in the footsteps of his father, who performed the first heart transplant in Florida. All the New Found Glory band members had to make sacrifices along the way to make their dream a reality. All this comes to mind on a recent sunny summer afternoon in San Diego when singer Jordan Pundik confidently calls their fifth album "the one that will stand the test of time." And then again a few days later when Gilbert declares, "We've never been happier with any other record."

"Coming Home" was even written differently. Rather than the usual tour bus and dressing room pow-wows, the band moved into a house together in Malibu called Morning View (where Incubus famously recorded their album of that name), where they sat around the living room and wrote the best songs of their lives. With Paul Miner of Death By Stereo and Warren Fitzgerald of the Vandals and Gwen Stefani's band overseeing the demos, it was like music camp, with a mission.

It only takes one listen to figure out the album opener "Oxygen" is about not being able to breathe without that special person. And the first single, "It's Not Your Fault," capturing the essence of young love and heartbreak with lyrics like, "There were rapid statements about life commitments, A Sense Of Heat, That I Couldn't Bare To Touch…"

Even the album's most poignant moment, and the one song not all about the girls, has a simple message. On the guitar-driven epic "When I Die," Gilbert addresses the 2004 death of his father. "There are always songs about death that are really sad, and this is an uplifting song that gives me strength."

When it came time to record, the band met with all the usual suspects, but decided on producer Thom Panunzio, an A&R veteran at Geffen who has recorded some of the biggest names in music history. "Because he's worked with Tom Petty and Bob Dylan, he brought this classic vibe to it, especially with the tones he got," Pundik says. "We learned we don't have to double-up 15 Mesa cabinets and make it all distorted to make it sound big."

5 out of 5 stars Keep on Keeping On.......2007-05-24

NFG only gets better. I didn't think they could top Sticks and Stones but they did it.
I adore everything New Found Glory, however if you're touchy about the pitch of a singer's voice, maybe listen to a sample before impulse buying.
Big music without a lot of indistinguishable noise. Great album.

5 out of 5 stars I saw them live........2007-04-12

And I was hooked.
End of story.
This album is a must have.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome!!!.......2007-02-10

This was avery surprising album for NFG. It mixes pop, punk, and other influences to create very strong, dynamic songs. All songs are good on this album and it is probably my favorite NFG album. A great album. BUY IT!!!!

4 out of 5 stars New Found Glory Continues.......2006-12-16

It would seem that New Found Glory continues to produce catchy pop-punk music but with a "more mature sound". I actual enjoy the "younger" New Found Glory sound with overdriven guitars and catchy choruses. The constant theme that seems to drive New Found Glory is relationships, the make-ups and break-ups. I can't put this record at the top of my list, however. So far, my favorite album is their self-titled. If I were to introduce NFG to a friend, that would be the first record I would turn to. Songs like "Dressed to Kill", "Hit or Miss", and "Sucker" embody what NFG grew from (in my opinion).

On Coming Home, expect some of the same NFG sound. Songs like "Hold my Hand" and "Oxygen" are good openers for the album. They are able to pull the listener in. I rate both high. The album continues strong with their single "It's not your fault", "On my mind", and "Coming Home".

Funny...all of which deal with...relationships. After those five, the album starts to struggle.

"Love and Pain", as well as "Connected" are in the NFG style. "When I Die" would have been a great track finisher but instead they chose "Boulders"--a slow ballad type song.

If you find them, "Over me", "Make it Right", "Golden", and "It's all around you" all should have made the album. They are more happy and upbeat than the chosen middle tracks.

I am not disappointed in the album, but it is not my favorite. I support NFG fully, and I am very big fan. However; I hope the 6th full length record will have more marketability.

5 out of 5 stars An adult who likes adult music........2006-12-14

Most reviews come from kids that just do what ever they can do to sound cool and make believe to them selves that they are hardcore...hardcore does not really exist anymore and that's ok. I like music...from Jim Brickman to Nirvana to Slayer to the Ramones and so on. This is a great CD a grown up CD. Just let the poppy punks grow up and you can grow with them...just ad water.

Sticks and Stones, the third record from Florida emo-punkers New Found Glory, might wear its broken heart on its sleeve, but that doesn't mean it has to pretend to be mature. No, Blink-182's first choice of opening band have a firm grasp of the puerile: Sticks and Stones churns out dumb punk thrills at such a breakneck pace, you'd swear they were going out of fashion. The chugging "It's Been a Summer" does Blink as well as Travis, Mark, and Tom do themselves, while "Head-On Collision" displays the group's tender emo side, frontman Jordan Pundik smarting at a vicious relationship spat. "It feels like I'm bruised and broken / From our head-on collision," he sobs, as guitars crunch and blunder madly in the background. Thing is, although some of the tunes are spot on--particularly, the lovestruck "My Friend's Over You" and the moshpit-friendly "Something I Call Personality"--there's little to radically distinguish New Found Glory from their peers. If you're a diehard pop-punk fan, you've probably got records like this--and better--in your collection already. --Louis Pattison

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars A tale of two CDs.......2006-08-05

before the emo/punk (if you can call it that) boom of 2004, there were still bands, such as New Found Glory, interested in writing simple catchy songs over crunching guitars in the vein of Green Day and Blink182 (before every band, including NFG, started inserting every hardcore and metal cliche in the book).

This music is not incredibly original, but "Sticks and Stones" is very likable and does a fine job honoring the pop-punk tradition. Unfortunately the second half of the disc cannot keep pace with the first half. After "Forget My Name", one figures that if the band can keep this up for five more songs, "Sticks and Stones" becomes a classic. Starting with the fast, crackling, opener "Understatement", the first single "My Friends Over You" and the pinnacle "Forget My Name", the first half rolls along with a great, exciting pace and energy. But, then comes the caveat. With the exception of "Story So Far", the second half pales in comparison with the first half, as you can see and hear the creative juices of New Found Glory running short in the final five songs.

However, the first seven songs are enough to earn this CD four stars (really more like 3.5) as well as making it worth a buy, seeing as you can probably get it for fairly cheap. Pick it up for 11 bucks and you'll get your money's worth

4 out of 5 stars This is all getting out of hand.......2006-07-28

Punk is not about listening to bands like the MIsfits and T.S.O.L and other old punk bands. Punk is about not following the crowd and doing stuff your own way and not letting other people get in the way of your own intrests. SO technically if the pop punk listeners listened to all those idiots telling people to listen to old school punk then they would actually become something their not

Anyway this happens to be a great cd. Very differant from Nothing gold can stay and All about a girl. JOrdan's voice obviously was polished in some way. The instrumentals are actually very similar to the sound of their two first cd's.

Now i guess I am going to review each cd.

Understatment 5/5 An incredibly catchy song that doens't get old very fast. This song will please most NFG fans.

My Friends over you 4/5 Most people will adore this song until about a week after they hear it when this song gets very annoying.

Sonny. 4.5/5 This song has very creative lyrics and a very interesting story.

SOmething I call Personality. 3/5 A song that most people will enjoy but it just doesn't do it for me

Head on Collision. 4/5 Pretty much the same story as My Friends Over you.

It's been a Summer 5/5 Starts with a very catchy riff and stays like that for the whole song.

Forget my Name. 4.5/5 Very good lyrics.

Never Give up 4.5/5 A song that can cheer anyone up

The Great Houdini 5/5 Really catchy

Singled Out. 5/5 Defienntly my favorite on the cd.

Belated. 2.5/5 Pretty good lyrics but just doesn't have the thing that makes te other songs so great

The Story So Far. 5/5 Great finisher

Overall 52/60 A great effort

5 out of 5 stars Best NFG Album!.......2006-03-07

These are how I rate the songs-

Understatement- Possibly the best opener ever 5/5

My Friends Over You- A really good song but if you listen to it more than two times in a hour time period it gets annoying. 4/5

Sonny- Nice, Calm and Melodic but possibly the worst song on the album. 2.5/5

Something I call Personality- Really fast and cool it almost makes listening to "Sonny" worthwhile. 4/5

Head on Collision- Their greatest slow song ever. 4/5

It's Been a Summer- Really catchy to listen to and it will never get annoying even if you listen to it one-hundred times! 4.5/5

Forget My Name- This song kinda' reminds me of Sum 41, and that is a good thing a really good thing. But it can be really sad if you really listen hard to the lyrics. 4/5

Never Give Up- This song is a little more hopeful than "Forget My Name" and I think everyone can enjoy it. 3.5/5

The Great Houdini- Has nothing to do with Harry Houdini and so I say WTF!!! 3/5

Singled Out- I like the techno beginning alot and the rest also rules. It is the best song on the album next to "Understatement." 5/5

Belated- Sorta' sucks but in its own way it is good. In other words it sounds like a Simple Plan song and that is a put down. 3/5

The Story So Far- Cool song very awesome except for that P.O.C hidden track. Get rid of the hidden track and you have a winner! With hidden tack loser! Keep the Hidden Track, 0.5/5
Without, 5/5

Possibly the greatest punk album ever.

4 out of 5 stars pretty good stuff.......2006-02-28

I am rather new to New Found Glory and, not being a huge fan of this genre of music, was pleasantly surprised.I own both this and Nothing Gold Can Stay and this is the better of the two in my opinion. I also know that one of the members used to be in a band called Shai Hulud, and old metalcore band that I'm a fan of. Check them out, broaden your musical interests. That's what I did with this cd and it turned out fairly well. 4 stars.

4 out of 5 stars A slight decline.......2006-01-23

New Found Glory is one of the oldest of the current pop punk bands. Their self titled album was hands down their crowning achievement, bursting with catchy and well written songs for their mostly teenage audience. This album kind of carries over, possessing much of the same drive, but lacking a little bit of each of the elements that made their last album so great.

Understatement starts the album off with a roar. This is actually my favorite song of theirs ever. It is well written, it is catchy, it is fast and loud, and it is pretty much amazing. My Friends Over You is slightly overrated, but I was at one time obsessed with it. It is certainly pretty damn catchy. Sonny is a slow and catcy song about losing someone. Something I Call Personality is a slightly overdone song. By the sound of it, you expect something assaulting, but it doesn't really pick up in any of the right places, and comes out seeming incomplete in some ways, overdone in others. Head on Collison is a good, but lyrically predictable song. Its Been a Summer was like a little mini crack addiction for me. I listened to that song for a good 2 or 3 weeks pretty much all the time. Trust me, it will find its way into your head.

Forget My Name is a great song, if not purely redeemed by the first 20 seconds. Jordan definitely has a good voice for hooking the listeners in. The next two songs are really where the album lags. They are OK, but mainly boring and uninteresting. The album would be MUCH better off just without them. Singled Out is a great song about a long relationship or friendship gone sour. Belated is another boring song which usually has me reaching for the seek button. The Story So Far is another good song. It is actually a little different than what they usually sound like, and it left me hoping for a musical evolution in the band for the next album (which, by the way, did NOT happen).

All in all, this album succeeds in putting out a pretty good pop punk album. A few amazing songs, a handful of decent ones, and a few stinkers. If you are looking for a good cd to listen to these guys, i would suggest their self titled album. If you listened to that and what the next best, definitely go with this one. Definitely worth a try

5 out of 5 stars not much new to be said...but this IS a great album.......2006-11-20

I've always been a fan of New Found Glory, since nothing gold can stay to coming home. They're never let me down and every CD is different and great. Though this album may sound a little bit higher pitched than past albums, it is in no way worse. Almost every song on the album is great and I listen to it often.

3 out of 5 stars theyre a 3 star band. bottom line.......2006-07-29

i say this...because...while they can be musically powerful...the vocals have always been..and will probably always will be...a little weak. sounds like hes trying to force too much sound out of his mouth and some goes out of his nose. it gets annoying, no matter how catchy the song is. this is one of those bands that will have a constant 16 year old fan base. i remember when i got their first album...it was ok. got their seecond album thinking..."hey...they can only get better" but..they just got more experienced and not much better. this album would have been so much better if he took some voice lessons. whining aint so hot no more.

5 out of 5 stars My favorite by NFG.......2006-06-13

New Found Glory is a great band, and I don't want to hear those stupid people getting all "This isn't punk." Anyway, NFG has been changing and I personally like it. It seems to me that they get better with each album. I originally ignored New Found Glory because I had that same narrow minded idea toward "what's punk and what isn't" But after I heard "No News is Good News" on Warped Tour 2004, I loved it. I loved it so much that I went out and bought the album and admitted I liked pop punk. I changed and am glad I did as I can now own a better variety of punk. Yes, I think this is punk. And if it isn't, oh well! I stille like it. Hey world! I like New Found Glory!!! Quit being closed minded and try this!!!

5 out of 5 stars all hail to New found glory!!!.......2006-06-07

this cd top to bottom was a joy to listen to, as soon as I popped it in I was instantly grabbed by the music and awesome singing. sure I agree that the singers voice is not so great at times, but I have long given up on talented singers. singing has nothing to do with if the song sounds good or not. trust me. New Found Glory constantly comes up with reasons for their fans to keep interest in them even long after their best albums have been released. if you want a fun cd to sing along to that will allow you to once again enjoy new music, then this cd is for you. if you want to be a hateful dissapointed bashful fan, then go listen to fall out boy... or panic at the disco. New found glory delivers with this new and fresh album, and its nothing short of fun and entertaining... certainly an album to brag about for months.... so take it from me, its much better than you think

1 out of 5 stars Chad Gilbert should be gravely ashamed of himself.......2006-02-25

I write this review only because I am a hardcore patriot and I am thoroughly disgusted by the very idea that this album has ears in the hardcore community. Listening to this makes me think I have Barney, The Wiggles, The teletubbies, and all the mouseketeers in the same room singing happy joyous songs that numb my brain to a point where I want to rip it out of my skull and stomp on it. Chad Gilbert might as well be wearing the Big Bird suit and helping young kids learn their ABC's, what happened to lyrics like "This ones for the world, I HATE YOU!" That's right all you Shai Hulud fans that might like this garbage Chad Gilbert helped engineer those lyrics and belted them out to hardcore kids across the nation before he decided to join Romper room and play hopskotch with his friends in New found glory. If your a hardcore kid and you listen to this stuff than you should be ashamed to call yourself hardcore. Do not use the excuse that Chad Gilbert is the guitarist and that makes it okay; if a bunch of your friends tell you to jump off of a bridge does that mean you do it? I would hope not. Attn all hardcore faithful: If you listen to this stuff, please for the love of the hardcore scene, please stop. Leave New Found Glory for sound bites on nickolodean and PBS kids, okay.
P.S. I rate this 1 star because the rating system does not include negative numbers.

5 out of 5 stars Nfg's Best.......2006-01-30

This is probably their best album.

and to the guy a few guys below me, who claims My chem romance, and the used is good music, go get a life

my chem sucks so bad live...their horrible, he is gay...and can't sing...not a good combo. he wears makeup...thats emo to me, so yea shut up

the used "used" to be good, now their "used" up, like their new stuff like "i caught fire" sucks balls

anyway, back to nfg...this cd is great, and has some of my favorite nfg songs, like "Dressed to Kill" and "Hit or Miss"

go buy it if you like new age punk, the closest present day band to punk, besides blink, who are no longer around (besides the fact that the two bands were friends)

4 out of 5 stars One of the giants in pop punk.......2005-12-22

Pop-punk. It is the unfortunate voice of a generation, and viciously scorned by the old punks. For good reason I guess. Pop punk went from being just an offshoot of punk with more hooks to becoming a new outlet for the newly emerging emo generation to become a part of bands. Most of it is unfortunate. Some bands, however, embrace their music as simply pop-punk and don't hope to be anything else. One such band is New Found Glory. I do have one thing to say to you old punks, though. Your music was amazing. I am right there with you. But for young kids with no exposure to it, this kind of stuff is a great building block for better music. Just be happy pop punk bands are stealing some of the spotlight from boy bands, pop princesses, and rappers.

New Found Glory put out this followup to their debut, Nothing Gold Can Stay, and they got everything they messed up on that album right on this one. Sure, many people hate singer Jordan Pundik's high pitched nasally voice, but i got past that quickly. Right from the start this album is great

Better Off Dead and Dressed to Kill are two hook filled songs that are great to sing along to and drive in the summer with. Vague, I know, but I think we all know what kind of song I am talking to. Sincerely Me is actually the song that made me like them. It is so catchy and it drilled through my brain and stayed there for days. Hit or Miss is their big song off of this album. It is kind of famous. And for good reason. One of the better crafted pop songs on the album, it is catchy, slightly anthemic, and all around fun.

Second to Last is one of my least favorite songs on the album. It strays from what they do best, and that is something a band should never do. The next four songs are similar sounding and with the exception of the playfully vicious Sucker, quite unexceptional. Boy Crazy, however, is my favorite song on the album. A big "Screw you" to boy crazy girls, this song is often witty and well written. Good song. All About Her is a good song, but another low point to the album. The closer, Ballad for the Lost Romantics, is a slower, and emotional song that is something of a shout out to their friends and their reluctance for fame to come.

Overall, not a musically groundbreaking album, but its fun and pretty decent for a pop punk band. Recommended as THE album to get for those curious about this band. It is their best. It isn't too ear gratingly irritating as their debut, it isn't as polished as Sticks and Stones, and isn't calling for retirement as Catalyst is. Go for it!

5 out of 5 stars Wow!.......2005-10-31

This is the only album of ANY artist, where I like *every single track*. All twelve songs. And I usually consider an album great if only about 75% of them are worthwhile. And 100% of these are far, far better than worthwhile. Truly an amazing album, and totally worth buying.

5 out of 5 stars hahaha.......2005-09-20

hahaha! theused!? MyChem? i cant even listen to those bands with out puking and thinking...what kind of man wears womens cloths and makeup...and just happends to sound like a women? well the members of the used of course...and the singer of my chem..but aside from that, this album is the balls in my opinion their best one, aside from nothing gold can stay...so yeah if you dont like NFG you can go take your "mates" and listen to some pussy new wave hardcore wanna be bands and slit your wrist while your at it :) peace out brotha's..oh and buy this album..its the balls...again lol

5 out of 5 stars their best CD.......2005-09-19

This, in my opinion, is their best CD and the one that made them famous also. I love the majority of the songs on this CD. I heard from people who met them that they're really nice also. They're from one town over from where I'm living. Also, the guy who compares NFG / EMO Punk to Glassjaw / Hard Core is a moron. That's like saying "don't buy Metallica, Barbara Streissand is better", idiot.

2 out of 5 stars Not much to hear here.......2007-01-24

This kind of pop-punk is relatively common, and is plagued with the same problem: It lacks identity. The bands all sound the same. I cant recall any points of interest on this release, it just comes off as dull, boring, and weak. What I notice most is how poor the songwriting is. There is some embarrassing, uninspired lyric-writing at work here. The lyrics alone make it hard for me to listen. I try to be very honest and open-minded when I listen to music, but I just can't see any reason to buy this disc over all the similar ones out there.

5 out of 5 stars Greatest Pop Punk Record Ever? It Just Might Be..........2006-05-16

First off, I a not a kid, I'm 17.

Like the title states, I think this is one of the greatest pop punk records ever. It may not be the most technical, the best produced, or the most original record of all time, but it certainly is well written and fun. Each of the different band members brings a certain style and flair not pulled off in this genre. Chad was in a Hardcore band known as Shai Hulud and knows how to lay down some heavy guitar. Steve doesn't play half bad either. Cyrus can play some pretty steady beats and keeps the rhythm well, he may not be the most tallented but he sure can play better than a lot of people. I wish we could hear Ian more, A New Found Glory has a tight rhythm section so I know that he is good. Last but certainly not least is Jordan. Man, I love his vocals. It may turn more than a few people off about this band, but in this record they are delivered with a lot of emotion, but don't dare call them emo, than with later records. The songs are all well written and I can't find a bad one on "Nothing Gold Can Stay." The sound clips have been taken out and do not distract from the listening experience. Sure the production sucks but I wouldn't have it any other way. It suites the music very well. This is, in my opinion, the best New Found Glory CD. So if you are a fan of the band or just looking for a great pop-punk album you have got to pick this CD up.

3 out of 5 stars Garage pop-punk? .......2005-08-18

New Found Glory is one of those bands out right now with the sound of a proper punk band, but filled to the brim with poppy hooks and high, whiny vocals. While looked upon with disdain by many rock fans, it is actually a pretty fun genre. You get rock but with all of the fun of power pop. New Found Glory was one of the first of these bands, and really has become one of the more popular ones.

This debut cd by them has none of the glossy pop production that some of their later cds have. A good thing for most music, i feel that for a band like this it takes away the fun and it sounds melodramatic and so overly angsty that it just becomes hard to listen to. If you listen closely, there are a bunch of decent songs, but they just get lost in the static. Better luck next time.

2 out of 5 stars this cd is weak.. compared to others.......2005-04-29

this is by far the worst new found cd there is... catalyst is the best... and to all you people who think they are "sell outs" because they are on mtv and stuff you are a dumbass cause they are trying to make money... they could care less what you think... the music has gotten better and better from one album to the next.. if you are looking to buy new found cds dont buy this one get one of the next three they are way better all around.. new found is a really good band and i am a huge fan.. but this album is weak

5 out of 5 stars a classic.......2006-07-21

When I was a lad of the age of 16, my friend made a mix CD for me. On this CD were several songs that I knew. There was "When I Come Around" by Green Day, "Total Bummer" by NOFX, several blink-182 songs, and then there were a few I didn't know. Two of those songs were "Hit and Miss" and "It Never Snows In Florida." Yes, I realize that those songs are not on this CD, but that was my first introduction to New Found Glory. Of course, back then they were just changing from A New Found Glory to New Found Glory. Their self-titled CD had just been release that year. What I heard was from Nothing Gold Can Stay. There wasn't all the hype from "My Friends Over You" or "All Downhill From Here." It was just a bunch of guys playing music. Jordan couldn't sing great, and the rest couldn't play perfectly, but they loved what they did. I think the best song on here is "Standstill." It's beautiful. But this CD is what it is, nothing more or less. It's not suger-coated pop-punk. It's not rebel-from-your-parents punk rock. And it's definately not cut your wrists hardcore. It's what New Found Glory has always been: a bunch of guys playing music and having fun. Just because it's poorly recorded doesn't mean it's any worse than Catalyst. That's why I love NFG. No matter how big they get, they'll still answer your emails on myspace, they'll still talk to you like you're just as good as them, they're still normal guys who just happen to be in a band. This CD is a brilliant piece of history. If you love NFG like me, or if you just like them like most of my friends, this CD is a must: a classic.

3 out of 5 stars good if u havent heard the others.......2005-01-27

this album is pretty good but not new found glory at there best, as its 1 of there 1st albums then no-one would expect it to be there best work. this is pretty good for a debut album. if youve heard catalyst, new found glory and sticks and stones then you most probably wont be pleased with this album. but you can still tell its new found glory and there are a few classic nfg tracks on here. 6/10

4 out of 5 stars New found glory kicks ass even in their early days!!!!!!!.......2003-12-30

This cd is soooo freakin awesome you don't have to be a diehard fan to like it i'm not a diehard fan and i like it just as much it is definetly like Blink-182's buddah i dont know why people hate it just because it doesn't sound as polished as their newer stuff it doesnt mean it's a bad cd and it also has ferris bueller lines throughout the songs and that is one of my favorite 80's movies thats awesome so whoever thinks this cd is crap well then they need to shove off because what can you expect for their first cd it's pretty awesome compared to what some people can do.

4 out of 5 stars Go for it, this CD is a good time.......2005-01-23

Any true fan of New Found Glory has this CD and will tell you they're hoping and praying for the day the band does another EP of cover songs. NFG takes classic easy-listening songs from movies and puts their own spin on it. The results will make you smile, rock out, tap your foot, nod your head, maybe even laugh. This CD marked the end of the raw sound and minimal production for the band. This EP wouldn't be the same if it didn't sound like it was recorded in someone's basement. Jordan's voice still sounds like he's singing in the shower, which is not to say that he sings off-key. Buy this CD, blast it in your car with the windows down, and laugh at all the people staring at you, jealous that you're having such a good time.

4 out of 5 stars New Found Glory does it again..........2005-01-19

Despite it being nothing but covers and only eighteen and a half minutes long, it's still great little NFG fix. Their cover of The Never Ending Story song and Goonies R Good Enough was simply awesome. This was my first pre-self titled NFG cd and I wasn't sure if I'd like the unpolished sound of New Found Glory 'back in the day' if you want to put it that way. Trust me, if you're a huge NFG fan and are craving more after their most recent three efforts, the unpolished stuff will most likely settle right in after about 15 minutes as it did with me. I got the This Disaster DVD the same day and I went home, put in FTSTYS, thought it sounded a bit ugly because I wasn't used to the underproduction, went to wacth This Disaster instead (which had the same unpolished sound for the vocals), went back to FTSTYS afterwards, and loved it right away. But I guess if you're used to (or like) underproduction then this won't be a problem at all for you. Like a previous reviewer said, this isn't original NFG, but it makes these songs much better.

Pretty sweet deal if you happen to have eight bucks around and nothing to do with it.

5 out of 5 stars NFG Rocks My Socks.......2007-06-08

What can I say? New Found Glory is an amazing band. Even this CD, with the band so unpolished, can make you rock out in the middle of traffic. They did a great job of transforming these songs into something like punk. I'd recommend this CD as a must have in any music collection.

5 out of 5 stars can't go wrong.......2006-08-31

with this one. Yes its been done before time and time again, but come on...goonies theme song, never ending story...its genious. Those two songs alone are worth buying album this for. NFG puts their stamp on these songs in a way that no other band (not even Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies) could do. It will make you want to watch the goonies and fall in love with the cory's all over again...and this cd will be playing at the reception.

5 out of 5 stars Some of the best cover songs ever.......2006-07-29

On this CD, NFG covered movie themes songs. (many of which are 80's hits) Usually when I hear 80's covers, they are horrible. If you like NFG, or if you want some 80's covers, get this. NEVER "BUY PUNK GOES THE 80'S"! THAT HAS THE WORST COVERS EVER!

Also, ignore the guy who gave this only 1 star, I looked at his profile and he doesn't even listen to punk so he's in no place to rate this!

1 out of 5 stars good lord.......2006-05-24

this is terrible absolutly terrible these songs they are covering are way out of their league these guys suck big time no talent whatsoever

5 out of 5 stars Great Ep.......2006-03-09

New Found Glory are pretty well known for being a great cover band, and this ep pretty much shows just exactly how good of a cover band they actually are. If you want to hear a great covers ep, check out this album. Its short, its cheap, and its just all out a great album. Be sure to check out New Found Glory's other albums as well. They are all great.
