5 out of 5 stars So fun!.......2007-07-07

This is a great CD! Our son loves it and we do too. The songs are creative and catchy. It is a pretty high energy CD and right up our son's alley. We highly recommend it...it's not your typical kid CD.

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful CD.......2007-07-04

This CD is great. My kid loves it and listens to it on every car ride. She is 1 and cant get enough.

5 out of 5 stars My Favorite Kid Album - Perfect Gift for Your Friends That Just Got a New Kid.......2007-07-03

My whole family loves this album. We pretty much buy it for everyone we know who gets a new kid. We have a lot of good kid music, most of which the kids like, some of which my wife and I also like. There are only a couple, however, that the kids and the adults love. This is one of them.

The lyrics are hilarious, so true and even poignant on occasion. It amazes me how well JR nails the kid and parent mentality without having kids of his own. Most (maybe all) of the songs are sung from a first person, little kid perspective. The song "Melt Down" will crack you up: "My mothers having a meltdown...". Cracks me up just thinking about the Mom and two kids just losing it "...it might sound outrageous but a meltdown's contagious". So true! "Cartwheels and Summersaults" is touching without going all Beaches on you. The song's about the kid's perspective on his new little sister, "we never really knew, how much we needed you, until you came into our lives, now things are pretty nice."

We're not a sing-along kind of family. We like music but we're not prone to belting it out in the minivan but even I'll sing along with this one.

4 out of 5 stars Good, fun music.......2007-05-09

This is a great kids' album. It has fun, simple music that will appeal to most younger kids and their parents. It's not another karaoke-ish version of Old MacDonald, eesh. We have kids from 3-10 and our whole family likes it.

5 out of 5 stars Catchy songs!.......2007-03-05

I ordered this based on a review I read on Justin Roberts. I had never heard him actually sing before. My daughter loves this album, and I find myself singing right along as well. His songs are catchy, humorous, and tell about life from a kid's point-of-view very well. I highly recommend it!

Irish punk-pop vets Ash have vacillated between poles of pop-suffused charm and energetic thrash on their albums since 1989, and this fifth release (the first for LA-based indie Record Collection after the collapse of their original American label delayed its stateside release) finds them fusing the best of those approaches with polish and some success on the lead single "Orpheus" and elsewhere. Recording for the first time in California seems to have imparted a brightness to even poison pen letters like "Evil Eye" and the hard-rocking, if cliched political agit-prop of the title track and the raging condemnation of conformity, "Clones" (also theme song for the Lucas Arts Star Wars video game Republic Commando). The quartet offers up a bonafide, back-to-the-80's head-banger of a power ballad via "Starcrossed" while incorporating new wave-y dynamics in "Renegade Cavalcade." Three exclusive bonus tracks are featured on the American release: the droning "Shockwave," the ballad "Solace" and the blitz-"Cool It Down"'s blitz-pop. This deluxe edition also features a DVD that includes videos for the previous "Girl From Mars" single and the album's "Orpheus" (also the subject of a "making of" clip here), "Clones" and "Starcrossed," as well as an album mini-documentary. --Jerry McCulley

Album Description

Ash's debut full-length, "1977", has SoundScanned 45,000 since its 1996 release. "Free All Angels" followed in 2001 and has sold 47,000 units to date. "Meltdown" has been certified Gold in the UK and is now available domestically. Initial shipments include a bonus limited edition DVD disc with a five videos, a making-of video, and a mini documentary.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars MUSE?? Please. This is Ash's best album yet...pure punky metallic powerpop goodness..........2006-09-26

Tim Wheeler is possibly the best powerpop songwriter right now. Bar none. Too bad this album was caught in the crossfire in the US between their prior US label Kinetic collapsing, delaying it for months and months, and the momentum gone and changing tastes amongst popular tastes here and the media.

What will probably happen is their NEW US label, Warner's Record Collection, will put it out just so it's out, have the band go on a small tour, and when they do their NEW album, which is being recorded now in NYC, might be a DOUBLE album of 27 tunes BTW, RC will put $$$ into promoting that one properly, with no delays, top priority.

Now, they are back to being a 3-piece, circa "1977", with Charlotte gone, preferring to focus on her solo career. This final Charlotte album is top-to-bottom great, with no dud tracks, catchy chunky loud powerpop riffage, hooks to die for, energy to burn for years, and just killer songs with not an ounce of pretentiousness.

All the singles are great here, espesh the tour-de-force "Orpheus", the gorgeous "Starcrossed" (like "There's A Star" part deux), and the unbelievable "Renegade Cavalcade". "Clones" is their hardest track yet, and yes it burns but brightly, with killer riffs and an even better chorus and Tim's scream in the middle is way cool and not out of place.

Fave overlooked tune here is "Won't Be Saved", a hidden powerpop gem, with an ace melody and creamy harmonies. The bonus B-side tracks are great and the bonus DVD is good value.

Basically, they are amongst the best bands out now that have been around a decade at least, and have not broken huge in the US. This next album could be their time though. Discover a gem of a band if you haven't yet. The best Irish band out now, and yes, that includes U2.

2 out of 5 stars Disappointing - try Muse instead.......2006-02-28

This CD sounded good, and I should have liked it. Strong themes, lead vocals, guitar work, female background vocalist... but the lyrics are just sophomoric. Every song is either "we're such rebels, you're all clones" or "she's so sexy." These guys should be able to pen some meatier prose, they're over 16.

So go get Muse's "Origin of Symmetry" or "Absolution" instead for great guitars, vocals AND lyrics.

5 out of 5 stars This Is The Best Album Nobodys Ever Heard Of.......2006-02-11

It's such a shame that the best album released last year had absolutely no airplay. every song on this album is amazing and the album as a whole is very upbeat and fast except for the very few slow songs which are written well too. unbelieveable and a must own.

4 out of 5 stars Commercial, yet well worth a listen.......2005-09-02

Tight, Very tight song-writing.I'll still take Trailer any day over this. But, you gotta love the fact that they have plenty of time to figure it all out. and earnestness will always be their strngth.

5 out of 5 stars The Only ASH CD Worth Buying.......2005-08-22

After hearing this disc I went out and bought all 4 of their other cd's only to be horribly dissapointed by EVERY SINGLE one of them. The one before this (Free All Angels) was decent but nothing more. The style on this one changes to more of an alternative rock band. While other reviewers favor songs such as Evil Eye, Orpheus, or Vampire Love (I don't like any of these) I prefer the hard rocking melodies of Clones, Renegade Cavalcade or Detonator. And if you like the softer stuff I recommend Solace, Won't Be Saved or Starcrossed. These 6 songs are really the only good ones on the cd, the rest sucks, but I'm giving it 5 stars just the same because these 6 are absolutely incredible. Check it out.

4 out of 5 stars The year of John Powell.......2006-07-24

The talented composer's year started with Ice Age: The Meltdown; a brilliantly orchestrated combination of many instruments (not at all conventional, either!); highlighting a hilareous film with cute and sweeping melodies.

Powell was able to build off of the solid start to the series that David Newman gave it, and did not let down his fans, either. The CDs many tracks split a lot of the cues down into two or three tracks, which sometimes gets annoying, but the excellent instrumentation is always there, and it one of the best animated scores of the year and an excellent addition to Powell's amazing resume!

4 out of 5 stars Good good good.......2006-04-09

Really, the whole reason I bought this CD was to listen to the Sloth Sing-a-long. I was slightly dissapointed by the short length of it, but it is still one of the most catchy and fun tunes to listen to in the whole soundtrack. I was suprised by the rest of the soundtrack, it was very full of fun and enjoyable to listen to. Many of the songs are very rich in thick harmony, and heartwarming to listen to.

4 out of 5 stars Mixed feelings.......2006-04-06

First I must express my disappointment with the director for not allowing David Newman to reprise his role in Ice Age. Newman's themes fit each character well in the first film.

Sigh, nonetheless, Powell is a great composer as well . . . but he didn't reprise the themes Newman worked on. Powell pretty much started from scratch hence my mixed feelings. I love the original music and wiping the slate clean is almost like Randy Newman's "Toy Story 2" being written by someone else without the original "You Got a Friend in Me" theme.

I gave this album four stars because I did enjoy the music. (I'm rating John Powell's music as a standalone.) The music worked well for the most part in the film. It didn't detract from the picture and complemented the slap-stickiness of the film like Newman's did. The Mammoth theme is my favorite, but I find the new theme a bit annoying. Its not as strong as Powell's themes for other films. Though, Sid's sing-along is very catchy and fun and makes up for my disappointment!

Powell has written great scores for comedies and a load of cartoons, his best one being "Chicken Run". So I do recommend this score to Powell lovers and Ice Age lovers.

Still . . . I miss the original Manny and Sid themes . . .

Many doubted that Judas Priest would find a vocalist to capably fill the shoes of legendary frontman Rob Halford. With Ripper Owens, the band found not only a Priest fanatic, but a talented screamer in his own right. Proving that his studio performance on Jugulator was no hoax, Owens displays performing talents on this vigorous double-live album. For concert album cynics, heed this: half of these 23 tunes have not been performed on the two previous Priest live discs, and Owens really belts out those screams with greater accuracy than Halford was able to summon in his last few years in the band. The metal legends unleash the long-lost pre-speed-metal classic "Rapid Fire"; they play an inspired acoustic version of "Diamonds & Rust" that's closer to Joan Baez's original than Priest's 1977 cover; and they dig up two previously unperformed Jugulator songs. Most of what's heard here rates from very good to excellent, though one wishes that "Burn in Hell" wasn't abbreviated and that "Dreamer Deceiver" wasn't excluded; and a few of the mixes could be cleaner. Still, this very live-sounding record (complete with essential raucous audience participation) captures the potent force of a Judas Priest concert performance. --Bryan Reesman

5 out of 5 stars Priest best live cd since Unleashed In The East!!.......2006-07-13

This puppy roars from the opening cord right through to the end. Classic Priest songs and newer offerings sound awesome. Ripper really takes charge in this and the overall vibe and intensity is in full swing. Ripper can really belt it out and he's in fine form here. The sound is really good and the song selection is killer.

The cd totally rocks folks!!

5 out of 5 stars JUDAS PRIEST HEAVY METAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2005-06-10

NOW...... this is an awesome release! Every song on this double cd gets a perfect 10 in my book! I saw the Priest during this tour with Ripper and man...talk about a set of pipes on that voice!!!!! I truly have to disagree with a couple of reviewers stating that "this is horrible" cause "it doesn't have halford" and another saying that "it's not essential because it doesn't hold up to Beast in the East (actually Unleashed in the East) or Priest...Live. Sorry Charley, neither one of those release are as energetic as this one. I can say this too! I have been a fan for over 25 years. In fact, the Priest...Live cd...well, let's not even go there! This IS the Judas Priest Live cd to own. Those wondering if they should take a chance...DO IT! You won't be disappointed!!!!!!!

1 out of 5 stars Terrible.......2005-02-04

I bought this cd not realizing "Ripper" Owens was on lead vocals- bad mistake. All you have to do is listen to the sample of Victim Of Changes provided here on Amazon. Of course Tipton and Downing sound great, but just wait until the vocals kick in. It's absolutely awful. He sounds like the stereotypical wannabe heavy metal singer from a cheeseball cover band you'd see at the local rock club in the 80's. Do yourself a favor- save your money on this one and pick up an earlier Priest cd with Halford- Unleashed In The East is the best Live one- I'm buying the latest compilation box- only 4 songs from Crapper Owens.

5 out of 5 stars Fuck Yeah!.......2005-01-29

aight. First of all, Judas Priest kicks ass. i started listening to them just recently, and i already own 4 of their CDs. i have to say, this is by far, the best out of all of them. here are some ratings:

1. The Hellion: intro to ellectric eye. sounds better whenit isn'tlive. still good tho. 7/10

2. Electric Eye: once again, non-live version is better 7/10

3. Metal Gods: pretty good song. not the best tho. 8/10

4. Grinder: not too bad. 8/10

5. Rapid Fire: not bad either. 8/10

6. Blood Stained: pretty cool song. 9/10

7. The sentinal: this is when the CD gets better. 9/10

8. Touch of Evil: not bad. 8/10

9. Burn in Hell: pretty good song. 9/10

10. The Ripper: not too bad/not too good. 8/10

11. Bullet Train: really cool song. 9/10

12. Beyond the Realms of Death: not bad... 8/10

13. Death Row: this song is awseome. one of the best on the album. 10/10

14. Metal Meltdown: favorite priest song of all time. really good live too. 10/10

15. Night Crawler: pretty cool song. 8/10

16. Abductors: ok. didnt like it that much, but its ok. 8/10

17. Victim of Changes: pretty nice song. 8/10

18. Diamonds and Rust: really good song. 10/10

19. Breaking the Law: awesome song. catchy lyrics.10/10

20. The Green Manalishi: this song is sooo much better live than not. 10/10

21. Painkiller: cool song, especially the guitar. 10/10

22. You've Got Another Thing Coming: this song is alright. 9/10

23. Hell Bent For Leather: not the best. 8/10

24. Living after Midnight: this song is better when it isnt live. still ok tho. 8/10

if you lke this, get Demolition. it is awesome. one of their heaviest CDs. if you want a lighter CD with some good songs, try Living After Midnight. anyway. this 2 CD set is Kick-ASS. you need it if you like any metal at all.

4 out of 5 stars Heavy.......2003-04-19

I like new Judas Priest in its own way. I mean, it has three core members, their best drummer and Ripper is good. But it's not close to the best of the classic stuff. That being said, most of the songs on here are very heavy and as should be expected with a good live album, more immediate than the studio versions. The set list is excellent, though they should've included Cathedral Spires, hands down the best song Priest have written post-Halford. Ripper shows he can sing the classics. Though the drum intro to Painkiller here makes the original seem like a studio trick. If you don't mind new Priest you'll like this. Old fans who didn't necessarily like the new studio albums should pick this up. I give Ripper credit as being a good singer but let's face it no one compares to Rob Halford except King Diamond and a couple others.

5 out of 5 stars seminal Christian New Wave album.......2006-02-12

One of the seminal Christian New Wave albums, this disc (along with "Please Stand By" by Vector and the first, self-titled album by Mad At The World) will always command a special place in my heart. Taylor has always been a wit and a wordsmith, commanding a vocabulary and sense for rhyme matched by few. Here it's wedded to the synthesizers and hollow guitar which made this the beautiful product of 1984 that it was. Listen to the churning synthesizer lines of "Am I in Sync?", the crystalline ones of "Sin for a Season", and appreciate how glorious this music was. Taylor made it poignant as well. Though I'm an atheist now (and so much happier!), I still listen to this disc because it touches my heart-strings.

4 out of 5 stars My favorite of his catalogue........2005-05-23

In the early 80's, LONG before the Newsboys and dcTalk, good Christian rock was rare, but slowly becoming available. Other examples of the period I particularily enjoyed were Petra (Never say die, More power to ya, Not of this world), Rick Cua (Koo-Ah!), Daniel Amos (Horrendous disc) and then-current works by Daniel Band, Justus, Oracle and Jerusalem. And I can't forget the REZ band. And Servant. I was never big on Stryper.

Back to Taylor. His previous album, I want to be a clone, was groundbreaking. "Punchy" described it better than anything. Attitude. Production. It was quite raw, and this second LP fared better because of increased sophistication in production and concepts. The humour was still there, as in "Meat the Press" and "Meltdown (at Madame Tussauds)", as was the defiant attitude - "We don't need no Colour Code". But now we had a heart wrenching ballad in "Baby Doe".

He was never an extremely strong vocalist, but made up for it in his quirky approach to getting his point across. It was (almost) pure entertainment. Not quite. Every song had something substantial to say. And nobody could say it the way he did.

He made other efforts, both Christian and secular, seem quite lame by comparison, especially his Midwest contempories, who I also loved, such as Styx and Kansas (Were they Christian or not? No one knows for sure).

Explore the rest of the discography. "On the Fritz" sure had its moments, as well as "I predict 1990". Perhaps a good place to begin is the 1994 two-disc compilation "Now the truth can be told", which includes (arguably) the better half or so of each of these four albums. Start there. Or here.

4 out of 5 stars Check it out! - Vinnie breaks out from neoclassical hold.......2005-01-15

I've read some reviews that VM doesn't have his own style - this may be true...however, he borrows from many rock guitar greats and does a better job! To say Vinnie is talented is the understatement of the century.

The cool thing about this album is it combines the feel of a fun bluesy-rock album, the raw vibe of a metal album, with the thorough music knowledge/hyper-technical proficiency of a neo-classical album. Other than the fact it's a guitar instrumental, it's not stuck in one genre and it's definitely not boring! I can hear the styles of Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen and Greg Howe, just to name a few, all on this one album...worth the money.

5 out of 5 stars a rare non-classical shred guitar album.......2004-12-29

I was really impressed when this came out as VM until then published neoclassical shred music, which everybody else was doing as well-I may as well listen to Malmsteen as he invented the genre
anyway, this was very refreshing - shred blues with awesome chops and strong compositions. In my view this is VM's best as it proved that he can play anything and also separated him from the rest in an era when everybody wanted to be Ingve. Buy it if you can find it!

Meltdown was a great direction for Moore to take after proving his chops in his previous somewhat boring neo-classical stuff; this music is so much more enjoyable. He adds in sweep licks in the perfect places. And, importantly, he does not play just for the sake of speed on this album.

Anyone who likes rock music would love this album, seriously. There is nothing to dislike.

4 out of 5 stars Good Stuff.......2004-04-01

Just got the CD -- had this on tape when I was going to school in Rochester. Great driving music.

Excellent playing, cool rock tunes, shredding. I really respect VM, his chops, technique, and feel.

This album makes you realize how difficult it is to make it in mainstream music as an instrumental rock guitarist. I doubt anyone but guitarists are going to own this album.

5 out of 5 stars woggles rock!!.......2005-08-22

I have seen the Woggles twice in the past month, they put on an awesome show- very upbeat and high energy..early 60's sound. I have a few of their cd's and love them all, but they are no comparison to seeing them live.

5 out of 5 stars So fun!.......2005-02-01

If you are looking for a great time, buy this record! It has songs from the band's career, and is an awesome introduction to the land that is, The Woggles. Its fun, old school rock n roll, how can you regret that?!

4 out of 5 stars Not a meltdown but still impressive.......2006-09-12

What we have here is a melding of old and new and that's not all bad contrary to the previous review. Mark Hummel is the guiding force and is one of the best in the biz for West Coast harping. Also helping out is Muddy Waters' former drummer Willie "Big Eyes" Smith who started out on harp.
Disc 2 is special, being split between Carey Bell and Lazy Lester. I enjoy guitar more that harp and Steve Freund is simply okay in his roll as backup. Just as well, it's the harp that takes this stage.

3 out of 5 stars only for lazy.......2006-06-28

i bought this disc only because of lazy lester.
he sounds great and the players, althogh white, sound not bad
either.the rest of the disc is modern blues crap.

Elvis Costello has always had great taste in guitar players, from his early devotion to Wes Montgomery to his frequent use of Marc Ribot, while Bill Frisell has shown a special empathy for Costello's songwriting on The Sweetest Punch, his instrumental cover of Costello's collaboration with Burt Bacharach. This barebones duet meeting with Costello singing to just the accompaniment of Frisell's guitar comes from a 1995 London performance. Charles Mingus's "Weird Nightmare," with the composer's own lyric, is a moody, dissonant minor piece that establishes a common ground and sets one of the tones for the performance. While Costello's songs may sometimes be bleak, they're also driven by a reality principle with a sense of accomplishment in their own hard-won experience. Frisell is an excellent partner for him, creating a densely resonant atmosphere that stages and echoes the often haunted, memory-filled lyrics. The guitarist picks up on the singer's every vocal nuance, too, expanding on his complex moods and lifting every rising melodic line with his own sense of light. Songs like "Shamed Into Love" almost glitter with Frisell's serene and trebly arpeggios, and Lerner and Loewe's "Gigi" grows from an initial sense of loss to genuine wonder. The collaborative "Deep Dead Blue," with Frisell's compositional input, has an intriguing, almost fragmented structure. --Stuart Broomer

    5 out of 5 stars Intimate.......2003-12-13

Close your eyes. On the left of the stage sits Elvis Costello, geeky glasses, geeky smile, a microphone in his hand. On the right, Bill Frisell sits on the edge of a little Fender amp, rocking gently, picking his guitar in only the way he can.

While the audience applause in between each of the tracks on this album leads me to believe the setting was not quite as small as I like to imagine it, my imagination still beats out my reason. And that's what makes listening to this record so exciting. Clocking in at under twenty-seven minutes, and costing over twenty dollars, I had to wonder if this was worth the money. After it sat on my "To Buy" list for a few months, I decided to just spring for it.

I waited until, given what I'd read about the album and what I've already heard from Costello and Frisell as artists on their own, I thought the timing was right. It was a late night in November, sort of chilly outside. I wrapped up in a favorite blanket and listened to the album.

The album begins with "Weird Nightmare," an obscure Charles Mingus composition. Costello's voice is haunting when paired with Frisell's sparse lines, and Mingus' creepy lyrics bring out the best in both musicians. The tone is similar through the next three (two written by Costello, one a Lerner & Loewe standard) before picking the mood up considerably on "Poor Napoleon." Though it was originally recorded for Costello's "Blood & Chocolate," it is rerecorded here to a very effective end. Costello's voice is dead on, and (once again) perfectly matched to Frisell's one of a kind style.

This is music that needs to be heard. The next time you're lonely, pour yourself a glass of red (or two), light up a Lucky Strike, and curl up with a blanket. These twenty-seven minutes might not make you feel entirely better, but they'll certainly make you feel comforted.

    5 out of 5 stars 2for2.......2003-01-14

live at the meltdown is truely one amazing piece of music. the pairing of elvis and bill was nothng short of genuis!! whether they are doing costello's "lovefield" or a mingus song "wierd nightmare" or the odd pair of writes (cait o'riordan/mac manus)"baby plays around" this CD offers nothing but talent from beginning to end. and i for one love elvis's voice

    4 out of 5 stars Interesting combination!!.......2002-11-18

Costello and Frisell happen to be two of my favorite artists. I had no idea that this album existed--I happened to stumble upon it one day while browsing through Amazon.com. I think they compliment each other pretty well. I particularly like the rendition of 'Baby Plays Around,' a gem from Costello's 'Spike' album that unfortunately often gets overlooked. The album has excellent sound quality. Fans of Costello and/or Frisell will dig this album.

5 out of 5 stars Incredible sound for only vocals and guitar.......2002-10-07

When most people think of New Wave, good singers is probably not the first thing to come to mind, heh if not the last. However, Elvis Costello is one of the few New wave artists to have a simply amazing voice and it is never more evident than on this CD. With only guitar and vocals, the CD seems like it would be empty sounding, but instead it is just the opposite, creating a full lush sound that would actually be hurt by the addition of louder, more crash instruments like drums or bass. Bill Frisell's guitar work lies somewhere between the piano style of Eric Satae and the ambient experimentation of Fripp/Eno bridging the gap between minimalism and ambience to create a smooth, flowing wave of notes that wash over the listener. Costello then softly croons over frisell's work in incredible vocal range going from a gentle whisper to a full falsetto. The subtelty and brilliance of this album is breathtaking and the depth and beauty they can create with only 2 instruments at their disposal is more than impressive. Apart from the music, the sound is A+ quality for a live release and allows every note to remain intact in a concert that truly relies on the important of each and every sound. Finally, clocking in at only about 30 minutes, the CD ends without becoming repetative or boring, which eventually would be inevitable using only 2 instruments, simply leaving the content listener with a nice, concise batch of love songs.

    5 out of 5 stars Exquisite MacManus/Frisell.......2000-07-14

I must say this is a delightful cd... only if you are an open-minded listener. I thought every Costello or Frisell fan was such kind of person. Should I say that through the years I realize I was mistaken? I guess both Costello and Frisell ask for the same musical curiosity (or, lets say it: heterodox musical erudition) from the listeners than the one that obsessed them all the way; that is: their opening to different styles in music is not the attitude of a snob --is the rejoice of a musician who let him be surprised by the "new values" as well as by the traditions of their roots. That is the only way you can enjoy this cd: let you be driven into the subtle complexity of Frisell's guitar on "Love Field" and "Poor Napoleon", two underrated masterpieces written by Costello, who sings them as if he had learned the best of Sinatra's or Bennett's style (but remaining himself); or dive for that rare jewel that is "Shamed into Love" just to merge full of charity and self-consciousness; or re-read the Lerner and Loewe classic "Gigi" and realize that every thirty/fourty-some guy is a nowadays Louis Jourdan character is this XXI century world. Of course, there is more: you have "the taste of beauty" (that already was on "Spike") with "Baby Plays Around"; the rare Mingus song facing a darkness that's always lighten; and the original "Deep Dead Blue" version with its real "deep-end" approach, that breathless feeling of ephimeral marvel, that sort-of-satori revelation that can only be captured when a sublime songwriter (and very personal singer --I must admit: the kind of singer I prefer: honest and imperfect like the glimpse of a truth) and a talented musician, both of them as open-minded as faithful to themselves, work together for an open-minded listener with a wide open and sensitive soul. (By the way, excuse me for my English --it is not my everyday language).
