The Beasties are back!.......2004-06-19

The 1st single off the Beastie Boys' 1st studio album in 6 years, "Ch-Check it Out", is definitely a track you should ch-check out. The song has a nice, ol'-school feel to it, which is good if you're a long time fan of the Beastie Boys. This might be undesirable for some people since the Beasties have used the same style in their songs for years, but it's nice to see that these 3 guys can still turn it out in their mid-to-late 30's. The only problem I have with this song is with the mixing, the horns in background seem too loud and they sometimes drown out the voices. Still, it's not much of a problem if you're a Beastie Boys fan and you'll enjoy this song even if you're not.

The album did not go over that well but the single and video to this single is great.Hard Beastie Boys I like this one alot

a aight cut but doesn't merit lead off single.not much different in sound&Production from there last project.the Re-Mix is decent.

Whoa, Wasn't Expecting That.......2007-01-06

I love this song, and the video, and heck ... I love the Beastie Boys. I purchased this CD for my private collection as well as my DJ collection and play it fairly frequently in clubs and bars.

One thing I wasn't ready for was the lyrics that you don't hear during radio play. One of the first times I played this CD after receiving it was during an instuctional DJ class that I was giving to a bunch of kids. Obviously, you don't hear any cursing on the radio play version of the song, but, there's plenty on the album version which I wasn't expecting when I dropped the disc into my CD turntables for a bunch of kids. It got a good laugh watching me try to cover it up ... parents were not so amused though.
