Relaxation music or mood music is essential in this process. The body subconsciously takes cues from sound and transfers that reaction directly to the muscles. So, it is important to control what sounds are heard. Relaxation music is the most effective means of controlling the ambient sound and substituting soothing sounds designed to relax. Relaxation music can range from the sound or rain or the beach to the sounds or crickets at night. Relaxation music can be any variety of sounds from traditional instrumental music to natural sounds or even computer generated noises. White noise is a critical element of relaxation sounds. White noise is a series of sounds used to raise the ambient level of sound to drown out unwanted noises. Relaxation music uses white noise principles to "hide" other noises from the subconscious. For instance in a massage therapy setting, the sounds of beach waves from a CD player can be used to mask the sound of passing traffic thus allowing the subject to more fully relax. Relaxation music also uses such sounds as running streams, nights ambient sounds of the forest and the quiet sound of a heartbeat as white noise.
Relaxation music is perfect during a massage but works equally well for sleeping, resting. This is also the perfect sound to have in the background during work or at home.

As a massage therapist, music is an intrical part of the relaxing process. These 3 cd set provides more than enough relaxation for a couple of massages. My clients even comment how relaxing the music is...when they wake up. I bought a second set just for myself to help me sleep at night.

Since I purchased this cd I am able to get a good night sleep every night without the help of pills. I love the sound of the rain. What a pleasure it is to be able to fall asleep relaxed. Thank you. I keep telling myself I might want to live in Germany. Funny girl, I lived there half my life.

This "Germany" relaxation cd was perfect! I'm getting back into massage therapy and had this couple that I massage. I played this cd for them while massaging them and it really made their session "special", they said. I'll be trying this cd and the others in this series on all my clients.

I bought this CD as a trial and love it so much I am going to buy the entire set. The water sounds are extremely relaxing. It has a creek, stream, waterfall and rain. I love them all! I recommend this CD to anyone who wants to have soothing background sounds.
