Album Description
Circular Objects' album Upload is the creation of MC Panik Boy, MC Spam and Producer Periodic. The three created this album in the spirit of reaching for something that is seldom found in hip-hop, futuristic style of ambience. The sound of the album is meant to break musical theory with melody lines that aren't theoretically melodic. The theme of the album is atmospheric ans sci-fi. The album displays the word play of two contrasting MCs that seem to hit subjects not found in your everyday hip-hop album such as debating whether light is faster than thought or whether progression is possible without having a transitional state. While the subject matter might be irrelevant in life, the album is not about teaching or grabbing somebody's mind, the album is about doing something that hasn't been done. The production compliments the two MCs by providing thick-heavy and dark instrumentals.

It's true that this cd isn't pure on traditional jungle but it's probably the best blend of jungle with ultra-phat crash & burn hip hop beatz I've heard. Whether the tracks are experimental or not it's almost as if he took a bit of Mr. Bungle's energy, went hip-hop with it, and pulled it off in a way that sounds far more concrete & slippy than wierd. All I have to say is if you liked Pish Posh, Freaky Flow, or J Smooth back in 98 you should REALLY look into buying this cd (KILLER bass init too). This is Jungle Sky in purest form.

Soulslinger doesn't sling too far.......2001-06-06

This is more of an experimental drum&bass mix that soulslinger is known for.This is great for dj spooky fans.I only enjoyed one song.I remake of Biz Markie's "Just a friends" but still the mix is too bland.

pay respect to NY's king of jungle. this CD rocks and is also a pain in the *** to record on a MiniDisc. Soul Slinger's only continuos mix set recorded is PHAT. all you hardcore jungle headz out there get a hold of this and dance for 74 mins to the hardest hitting DJ on the planet.

Finally, all of pUNCH dRUNK's greatest on CD.......2002-05-09

I was a big fan of Punch Drunk while they were around, and always wished some of their tape-only stuff would be released on CD. Well, I finally got my wish, as this CD combines the best of their sole CD release with the best of their unreleased work.

I can best describe the music as electro-industrial fused with Devo fused with sci-fi movie themes. Here was a band into the cyber-techno imagery long before most people had even heard of the internet.
