Call it lounge if you want to, forget the tag if you don't care, either way Blue Lizard Recordings' Smooth & Wild Vol.1 is a cool collection of some fine Vancouver talent. "Hui Mawahoo Ka Waa" is a perfect example of the Molestics' refined and inspired loopiness. The Colorifics, always a great live act, shade "Playing The Fool" with some nice pastel Harmonies and guitar riffs. Lux turns in the classy Crepescule. Za Za Velvet's "Aqua Velva Man" and Pure Velours' "Mambo Baby" are tasty pieces of Candy.
