Darkside of the Rumours

Editorial Reviews
About the Artist
Milo is a "twisted troubadour of epic proportions," shouts Amplifier Magazine. Rock critic Gary Pig Gold placed Milo's debut CD Smell the Parade among his 10 recommended picks for 2002. Milo's songs have been featured on the nationally syndicated Dr. Demento radio show and on the Illbilly Records compilation Dropped on the Head Vol II. Darkside of the Rumours is his sophomoric release. "Milo writes truly disgusting and hysterically clever songs," says critic Holly Day writing for The Big Takeover. Milo records in the living room of his tiny Atlanta apartment.

Album Description
An oddly diverse assortment of original Goth-folk, alternative rock, honky tonk and cabaret tunes. The dark humor and twisted arrangements have drawn comparisons to Nick Cave, Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen. The semi-acoustic vibe is augmented by viola, harmonica, Hammond organ, live and looped percussion. Milo's lyrics spin tales of wounded dogs, contemplative corpses, confused sexual identities, alcoholics and loners -- told with a heavy dose of silliness to lighten the gloom.
