Superman Won't Take The Call

About the Artist
With the launch of Jennie's new CD, Superman Won't Take The Call, it isclear that this local New Yorker, originally from South Carolina, is poised for stardom! Recorded at the prestigious Battery Studios (BritneySpears, Alanis Morissette, Perry Farrell) with such special guest musicians as Julia Kent (Rasputina, Sheryl Crow) and Ann Harirston (Macy Gray, Luscious Jackson) and with production by Stephen George (Mary J Blige, Ric Ocasek) and ASCAP award-winner Barb Morrrsion, Superman is finely crafted, richly textured and a powerhouse blend of country, pop and alternative rock.

Between March and June of 2003, Jennie licensed 8 songs to VH1 &MTV for various programming including Born to Diva and was reviewed in Venus Magazine and The Village Voice. Her complex, dynamic songwriting and her honest, captivating voice keep her audiences coming back for more.

Album Description
This local thrush’s imminent Superman Won’t Take the Call proves both her and her band capable of a husky uplift and rhythmic wallop rarely heard in the female-folkie field. Nashville belters like Joe Dee Messina or Martina McBride would be proud to tear into small-town geo-sociological explorations as earthily popwise as "Tallulah Falls" or "The River" or the Carolina twister romance chronicle "One More Day." And Jennie’s fine with blues riffs and Nirvana basslines, too. (Chuck Eddy, The Village Voice)
