Ten By One
Editorial Reviews
About the Artist
Norm was born in the 1960's, and learned to love Bob Dylan and Peter, Paul & Mary by listening to his older siblings play and sing. One of his earliest memories is of being completely blown away by hearing "Hard Day's Night" on the radio. He started on guitar at 10 and began writing songs when he was 14. By the time he was 17, he was writing "keepers," songs that are still in his catalog today. Norm has spent the following twenty-five years learning to distill his thoughts and experiences into powerful and subtle lyrics wrapped in memorable melodies.
Album Description
In his debut album, Norm draws a ten-song mix from his extensive catalog. The material spans twenty years of his songwriting career, from 1982 (Early Warning) to 2002 (I'm Falling Now), and cover a variety of styles -- Pop, Rock, Country, Blues, and Alternative. Strong melodies and stronger lyrics give you something to move to and something to think about.

Customer Reviews:
Fabulous for any Broadway-lover.......2007-01-30
Packs into 5 CD's a sampling of Broadway tunes from the 20's thru (almost) today, mostly from original cast recordings. Includes not just well-known hits, but also some lesser-known gems. Sound quality is first rate, booklet is informative too. Have given this as a gift to several friends with rave reviews.
Top Shelf.......2007-01-04
This is THE definitive collection of Broadway hits. I have other collections, and none of them measure up. A great deal of care was obviously taken in compiling and presenting this box set. It covers a lot of ground, starting with some long-forgotten but still very enjoyable hits from the days of yore, and finishing with present-day favorites. To the best of my knowledge, the recordings are by those who made them famous. You won't be disappointed.
TERRIFIC CD'S.......2006-03-23
THESE BROADWAY MUSICALS CD'S ARE A BROADWAY LOVERS DREAM. WITH EACH SONG, MEMORIES COME FLOODING BACK. BOTH THE FAMILIAR AND THE FORGOTTEN SONGS ARE A TRUE LISTENING PLEASURE. IF YOU LIKE BROADWAY, YOU'LL LOVE THIS SET.
Great Collection of Broadways greatest Songs .......2005-06-14
This Collection was perfectly made it has almost all the most famous Broadway songs on this 5 cd set. The Music is great and has Broadways greatest treasures like "Memory""People""With One Look""Give my regards Too Broadway" just to name a few of this numerous cd set with over 100 songs. This is a great buy if you like musicals or The music of Broadway
Great Compilation!.......2005-01-17
If you are a fan of the Broadway Musicals, this is a collection that you should purchase. Since I got the 5 disc set I've enjoyed listening to it. The majority of the songs are done by the original singers. The collection is priceless considering that you will have over 100 songs from popular musicals since the beginning of Broadway

Customer Reviews:
Fantastic performances........2005-05-02
"Maldoror" is a unique concept, producer Michael Montes put text rom Comte de Lautreamont in front of Friedlander-- the master cellist read the text and improvised what he saw. The results are nothing short of breathtaking.
If you're not familiar with Friedlander's work with John Zorn and others, you're likely in for quite a pleasant surprise-- I can think of very few musicians I have had the pleasure of hearing who possess such a stunning command of their instrument as Friedlander does. His technique is overwhelming, particularly in pizzicato, and as an improviser, he is agile and inventive. These lead to the great strength of this record, namely that Friedlander can through his technique express something much more visceral than one would expect from any musical performance.
The improvisations are largely oriented on texture and space, whether arco or pizzicato-- each note counts, as does each lack of note. Friedlander may have an overwhelming technique, but what makes both him and this recording brilliant is his ability to make decisions about when to show it and when not to. "The Wind Groans", for example, is better served by long tones and understated delivery, to meet the mood of the piece he read, then it is by any show of powerful playing.
For fans of improvised music and virtuoso performance, this album is essential. Highly recommended.
Dark, Weird & Accessible.......2004-01-12
I bought this because I saw a piece on Erik and this record in the Wire, a magazine I really trust. And though it's not the kind of thing I usually pick up, I love Maldoror. It consists of dark and atmospheric cello scraping, bowing, plucking, and pulling -- all improvised. I know, I know, it sounds like it'd be really weird and inaccessible, but there's something about Friedlander's sense of melody, his technique, and his ability to compose on the fly that makes this a record a classy little thing. It makes me think of dark moments, French films, and John Coltrane's best work. Try it. You'll like it.

The line between evangelist and entertainer has always been somewhat indistinct. But as showcased on this 43-track, double-disc collection culled from his '87-'96 recordings for Elektra/Nonesuch/Atlantic, Michael Feinstein's dedication to spreading the gospel of the American song often blurs it beyond recognition. While the singer's pedigree for the task is impeccable (a long-term stint as Ira Gershwin's assistant and early career sponsorship by Liza Minnelli), his interpretations often succeed by playing off a tense axis of fervent emotionalism and a joyous sense of irreverence.
If his readings of romantic standards can sometimes tend toward the precious, they're often balanced here by sheer dramatic power and telling insights ("Isn't It Romantic" fairly bristles with ironic chauvinism) and a few loopy curves ("The Mole People," the Sherman Brothers' "The Ugly Bug Ball," and the previously unreleased "Rhode Island Is Famous for You"). Feinstein's dedicated song archaeology is also showcased on several gems: "Violin," a duet with Liza Minnelli; "My Favorite Year," a rejected ballad for the film of that name; the sublime "lost" Gershwin classic "Ask Me Again."
Sprinkled with live performances (the forum where Feinstein's talents seem most energized) and studio outtakes and featuring a lengthy print interview with the singer, the set chronicles both the pioneering efforts of one of pop music's most successful revivalists and, crucially, the cream of his beloved American songwriters, from stalwarts Gershwin, Berlin, and Porter to later legends like Herman, Styne, Lane, Martin, and Mercer. --Jerry McCulley

Customer Reviews:
Mixed feelings.......2005-10-05
This album has some GREAT songs on it; sophisticated swing being one of my favorites. However many of the other songs are too operatic and lame. I give three stars but this album is definatly worth it just for some of the better songs.
Your love for this superb collection will be here to stay..........2002-07-18
The magnificently talented Michael Feinstein has made one wonderful album after another for nearly two decades. Now that Elektra and Rhino have put together this anthology, I am blown away by the versatility and diversity in Feinstein's recorded output. Such amazing rare gems, combined with the most beloved favorites in the history of American Popular Song. Assembled with wit, intelligence, and obvious affection on the part of the record company, this set is a keeper. You'll love it!
He's done it again.......2002-07-15
Is there anything this man can't sing? This collection is so varied as to be the definitive collection of songs for any occassion.
This is perfect background music for a dinner party for a whole group but especially for two. Light, romantic and just gorgeous. You just can't go wrong when Michael Feinstein is your musical choice.
Way to go Michael, you've done it again!
Absolutely 'S WONDERFUL!.......2002-06-10
There are very few contemporary performers who can hold their own with the truly great interpreters of American popular song. Michael Feinstein is truly the ONLY performer of the "younger" generation who really understands what these songs are all about. His incredible knowledge of this music, and his enthusiasm and passion for it have fueled his career. Rhino Records has done a truly outstanding job of putting together an anthology that exemplifies why Mr. Feinstein has become so beloved by audiences around the world. The packaging is excellent, and filled with interesting photos and background information about many of the selections.
This collection not only contains all the favorites one would expect, but a neat group of surprises too. I especially love the duets with people like Liza Minnelli and Rosemary Clooney, and the various collaborative efforts with songwriters like Jule Styne and Burton Lane accompanying Michael at the piano.
This collection is a classic to be treasured. Bravo Michael!
Bravo Rhino!
A beautiful 2 disc CD-another hit for Michael.......2002-06-09
I have every CD Michael has ever made and this is by far one of the best ones because of Michael's range in singing and his wonderful singing voice. I love his duets with Rosemary Clooney and Liza Minelli. He is a wonderful performer on this double CD and am looking foward to the next CD.

These Atlanta, Georgia, pops can rock! Stay-at-home-dad John Boydston and Walt Brewer (ex-Jody Grind) have cleverly blended their passions for parenting and rock & rolling with the supergroovy Daddy à Go-Go release, Cool Music for Cool Kids. Tackling subject matter ranging from the merits of brushing your teeth to the pleasures of fatherhood to carpooling and diaper changing, Daddy à Go-Go fills the gap for hip parents and kids with a hankering for something cooler and more substantive than Barney, edgier than Raffi. Daddy à Go-Go makes jubilant jangle-pop recalling the '80s heyday of Athens, Georgia, as well as '60s three-chord pop. "I Can Swing By Myself" and "Ants in My Pants" are infectious bass-heavy twang-rockers, and the carpool song kicks some serious Neil Young-style booty. Instrumentals such as "The Thang from Planet Twang," "Chop 'Till You Drop," and "Glad to Be a Dad" are surf and rockabilly inflected explorations in sound and the boogie that follows. From Boydston's delightful originals to the Dads' covers of themes from Scooby Doo and Speed Racer, Daddy à Go-Go does a family good. --Paige La Grone
Album Description
"Cool Songs for Cool Kids" is Daddy A Go Go's first CD and was named to Amazon.com's first ever Top 10 Best Kids Records of the Year List (1999) and continues to be a favorite among Daddy a Go Go fans. All Music Guide writes: "Cool Songs for Cool Kids is a great introduction to Daddy a Go-Go's cool sound. The title of Daddy a Go-Go's debut Cool Songs for Cool Kids tells most of the story behind the album, though it leaves out the key ingredient of its appeal: the cool dads that comprise Daddy a Go-Go. Walt Brewer and John Boydston mix elements of surf, rockabilly, bubblegum, and classic rock and playful themes into 15 fun songs for kids and parents. Rough, jangly covers of the theme songs to Scooby Doo and Speed Racer, surfy instrumentals like "The Thang From Planet Twang," and witty originals like "Dads in the Sky" and "Daddy's Diaper Blues" reflect the different sides of Daddy a Go-Go's fun, unique style." Its a kids record that doesn't talk down to kids (or to parents) and begins the Daddy a Go Go tradition of never insulting anyone's intelligence, while keeping it fun. Daddy a Go Go has 5 CD's, so check out Daddy A Go Go's other 4 CD's here at Amazon.com, starting with the 2006 release "Eat Every Bean and Pea On Your Plate," one of Amazon.com's Top 10 Best Kids CD"s of the Year Choices. Also Parents Choice Award Winner "Monkey In The Middle," which was also named to Amazon.com's Top 10 Best Kids Records of the Year in 2000. "Big Rock Rooster" expands Daddy a Go Go's notion of rock and roll for the family with rom covers of Allan Sherman's "Hello Muddah,Hello Faddah" and a punchy version of "Come On Get Happy", to fun clever originals like "I Wanna Be An Action Figure" and "I Think I Might Be a Dog." And in 2004 Daddy A Go Go won a 2nd Parents Choice Award with "Mojo A Go Go - Real Rock For Kids" CD, which was again named to Amazon.com's Top 10 Best Kids CD's The Year List. Check out these other CD's as well, and look for Daddy A Go Go's 5th CD release in spring 2006. Check them all out.
Customer Reviews:
Did not like this at all..........2007-02-06
I was very disappointed in this album. I bought it after reading the reviews, many of which stated that this album was one they enjoyed listening to as much as their kids. In my opinion, it sounds very canned and synthy. But it just might be my taste. I'm a huge fan of Elizabeth Mitchell, whose instrumentation is very minimal and whose songs really stand on the vocals and the lyrics. Daddy a Go-Go's songs are too chaotic for me!
fun songs.......2005-08-24
This is a fun dance CD. We haven't tried it in the car yet, but we have a great time singing the ABC's and my favorite, Speed Racer.
Parent-Friendly Kids' Music.......2000-12-30
This is one of only a few of our kids' cds that my husband & I don't mind hearing over & over. The kids are three & five, and, of course, want to hear the same cd again and again - this one is actually tolerable even if you've already heard it five times that day....it's also good for getting the kids moving - it's very danceable.
We love this CD!.......2000-09-10
This is a great CD. My 3-year-old daughter can't help but dance when she hears it. The first time I played it, she sang the alphabet to the "Alphabet Song". It's great to find such a fabulous collection of kids' music all on one CD. We played the CD 3 times the first day we had it. Buy this one!
Fun Music for All Ages!.......2000-03-14
We bought this album because we wanted music that the whole family could enjoy, an does it deliver! Often with children's music the songs can get pretty boring after awhile. This CD is full of fun dance tunes and even throws in a little lesson on personal hygiene with "brush your teeth!". Our three year old has been listening and dancing to it since he was 21 months old. We know our 3 month old will love it too. We can't wait for more from these Go-Go Daddies!

Philips' 100-volume Great Pianists of the 20th Century series is one of the most ambitious projects ever put together by a record company. For all the debate that will surely ensue over who was chosen and who was passed over, it's obvious that careful, loving attention has gone into the selection of content for the happy 72 to be admitted to this special pantheon (certain especially significant pianists are allotted two or even three volumes, such as Vladimir Horowitz). Each of the handsomely designed, sepia-tinted volumes--adorned with a black and white photo--contains two CDs and a thoughtful essay on the artist in question. Prospective buyers should be aware that this sampler volume offers only short vignettes (averaging between two and three minutes), along with a thumbnail sketch, for each pianist. Still, it's a smorgasbord of morsels that allow you to taste some of the major trends in philosophy and approach to the instrument throughout the century (and reaching well back into the 19th), and the overlap of repertory permits some fascinating quick comparisons as style and technique have evolved. Delve into some of the artists in the series--say Alfred Brendel or Martha Argerich--and trace in greater depth the piano's identity crisis. Is it, for example, a resonantly string-like instrument ideal for pastel shadings or a steely, percussive machine meant to express the hardness of the 20th century? There are countless discoveries to be made here, both for the connoisseur and for anyone taking the first step into getting acquainted with great keyboard artistry. --Thomas May
Customer Reviews:
Tantalizing preview of good things to come.......2003-01-07
This is an introductory 2-CD set to introduce a very grand series of CD's featuring the 20th Century's greatest pianists.
As a sampler, there are some incredible jewels here, for example Nikita Magaloff's sparkling Chopin Tarantelle and Paganini Etude No.3: 'La Campanella' played excitingly by John Ogdon. There is even an early recording of Paderewski playing (predictably) Paderewski.
This sampler seems a bit of a Euro-centric, but the editors wisely chose to include Earl Wild doing Gershwin and Roslyn Tureck doing Bach. I ended up purchasing the Andre Watts volume from this series, and wondered what it would be like to own the whole shootin' match. I saw the entire CD series on display in a top notch music store in Germany--it was overwhelming to see the line of brown covers stretching impressively across an entire wall. The sampler is a good way to have a taste of this ambitious series of the giants of piano in the 20th Century. I listen to it often with great enjoyment.
RE: Glenn Gould.......2001-05-23
RE: Those of you who complained/rejoiced about Gould's abscence: he is not on the sampler, true, I believe for... purposes or something along those lines. Rudolf Serkin is also not included, but both are among the "greatest pianists of the 20th Century" set.
Missing no one except Katia Skanavi.......2001-04-19
I was pleased after reading the list of performers to see that Gould's machine-gun jiffy-pop piano "playing" is not included. I would like to hear more of Skanavi tho.
Forget Somebody?.......2000-09-21
Although I understand that it must have been very diffiult to decide which pianists got put in the collection, let alone a two-disc sampler, I still feel that any anthology of the piano (other than one highlighting the romantic era)should contain at least one piece by Gould, yet this one doesn't. Gould has been almost unanimously hailed as one of the most influential artist of the twentieth century, yet he is not included on this disc. Other than that, a great buy.
Unparalled Excellence (Mark G. Davis).......1999-08-01
If you only purchase one classical piano cd in your entire life, this one should be it. All the masters, at their very best on it.
If you have piano cd's, this should be part of that collection. I purchased one, almost not believing what I read on the jacket. I'm telling my friends about this one, as I'm aware of no other CD having all those piano masters - - at any price?)...

Dads raised on the Beatles, the Stones, and old rockabilly and surf licks don't fade away or burn out, they just plug in and rock their kids. On Monkey in the Middle, daddy-o supreme John Boydston, his good buddies, and occasionally his children conspire to dish out melodically memorable pop-rock tunes that are as smart as they are kid- and adult-friendly. While Boydston can't decide whether he wants to be Buddy Holly, Brian Wilson from his "Surfer Girl" period, or Mick Jagger, in the end it doesn't matter since Boydston writes, plays, and emotes with enough panache and rock-history knowledge to bring a smile to even the most jaded rock fan. Dig the musical allusions and jangly guitars sprinkled throughout the 15-song disc, whether it's the "Jumpin' Jack Flash"-like backups that pepper "Thank the Farmer" or the hip instrumental, "Got Milk (If You Want It)." With covers of the "Theme from The Courtship of Eddie's Father" or a tasty remake of the Vaselines' "Molly's Lips" (called "Mommy's Lips"), Daddy A Go Go proves that good taste, creative ingenuity, and good times are a rock legacy every kid deserves to get from a rock-savvy father. Go Dad go. --Martin Keller
Album Description
MONKEY IN THE MIDDLE was name to Amazon.com's Top 10 Best Kids CD's of 2000, and won a 2000 Parents Choice Award.
It's a logical and worthy follow-up to Daddy A Go Go's Debut CD "Cool Songs For Cool Kids" (also on Amazon.com's Top 10 Best List the year before) being for slightly older kids (in the 4-7 range) because that's how old Daddy A Go Go founder John Boydston and drummer Walt Brewer's kids were when they were putting this CD together. Instead of songs about the ABC's, brushing teeth, and Scooby Doo, "MONKEY IN THE MIDDLE" has slightly older subject matter, like in 2nd grade when "The Girls Are Always Chasing Me," and kids start getting into the fad of the week "The Fever," and learning about their world "Thank The Farmer." And there are a couple of cool covers like Harry Nilsson's "Best Friend" from the 'Courtship of Eddies's Father' TV Show. Daddy A Go Go does not pick cover songs lightly.
All Music Guide writes: "The rockin' dad duo Daddy a Go-Go returns with Monkey in the Middle, another collection of playful, rowdy originals for cool kids and parents. From the honky-tonk-tinged title track to jangly songs like "Coulda Shoulda Woulda" and "You're Not the Bossa Nova Me" which sounds startlingly like a G-rated Reverend Horton Heat song Daddy a Go-Go manages to mix hip rock references and kid-friendly lyrics into a winning combination. "Birthday Song" borrows a chorus or two from the Beatles' "Birthday"; "Mommy's Lips" is a reworking of the Vaselines' classic "Molly's Lips." As much rollicking fun as it is, Monkey in the Middle's greatest strength is its refusal to condescend to either children or parents. A fine way for parents to turn their children into budding music fans, this album is completely charming for listeners of all ages."
Customer Reviews:
Not for young kids unaccustomed to rock n roll.......2003-06-30
This is a fun CD, no doubt about it. However, be warned that if your young children are not quite ready to rock out, this may not appeal to them. My kids, 5 and 2, are used to the clean and clear pop sounds of the Wiggles. They also love the clear acoustic sounds of Ralph's World. Daddy a Go Go is not like those. This is loose, party rock n roll music reminiscent of an early 60's American garage band -- A sort of "Animal House for kids" soundtrack. I kept expecting to hear "Louie Louie" on this disc. Like that song, the vocals are buried in the mix, so my kids had a hard time hearing the words.
Don't get me wrong, this is a well-made and fun collection of songs. I think I'll just put it away for a year or two until my kids are ready to rock.
Way cool music for way cool kids, AND their 'rents!.......2003-03-22
My Grandkid loves Daddy-A-Go-Go. So do I! Eeek!, July 7, 2000
Reviewer: Chris Curle from Marco Island, Florida
I gave my grandkids Cool Songs for Cool Kids and Monkey In The Middle and
had to get two more for me for my car. John Boydston sneaks in all the fun
stuff from the music I grew up with and delivers it to yet another
generation with good ol' rock n' roll rhythym and style. Love it!s
Great alternative to traditional kids songs!.......2000-07-12
I am a teacher for the Southern Illinios University Head Start program and bought this CD and the Cool Songs for Cool Kids CD during a summer hunt for new music to use in the classroom. I personally loved the rythym and fun lyrics in the songs. My family previewed the CD's at home (I have a six year old daughter)and we danced the night away. There is a song for every child to relate to. I will definitely use it in my classroom. Great job Daddy-A-GoGo!
Hip, musical fun for kids and grown-ups.......2000-07-11
Few kids or parents will be able to sit still while listening to the toe-tapping energy that drives this lively collection of rock songs for today's kids. The lyrics are relevant to the lives of modern children, including a song about the Pokemon craze ("The Fever"), while much of the humor (and there's a lot of it) is timeless. I especially like the funny "Knock Knock" which features kids' voices and a bluesy harmonica in the background. This is more than just silly kids' stuff, though. The instrumental "Got Milk" is a quiet, beautiful piece and "Thank the Farmer" is a thoughtful homage to those who grow our food. The inclusion of "Best Friend" (from the TV show "Courtship of Eddie's Father") is a sweet inspiration. This is a wonderful musical treat for the whole family.
If you have kids .. you should have this.......2000-07-07
My daughter loves this record (whoops... that dates me!) or rather CD .. she loves having her "own music" and I love knowing that it is fun, good spirited and upbeat. Nasty tempers in the car and at home are smoothed over by a promise of letting her listen to "her cd" ... And I like the music, which makes it easier to listen to over and over again ... it's not sappy or stupid and it doesn't talk down to children like some kids music does.

York's sultry vocals and songwriting sensibility bring to mind Portishead and Everything but the Girl. As with those groups, she weds acoustic instrumentation with heavy rhythmic grooves and mixing techniques invented by dub, techno, and dance recording artists. The understated, rolling funkiness and spiky, heavily processed guitar heard here also recall U2's Achtung, Baby. Lyrically York tackles difficult subject matter (a child's obsession with firearms in "Bought a Gun," a runaway teenage girl's sexual awakening in "Open Wider") with sensitivity and intelligence. Ultimately, Bird is exquisite--from the opening track to the lulling, emotionally abundant denouement of "Breathe Deeply." --Michael Wells
Album Description
Sensual, smoky, groove rock. Great lyrics, unpredictable melodic hooks. Voted one of the "Top Ten Emerging Artists" by the Editors of Amazon.com.

Best cd of all time!.......2006-02-26
I have every cd that Bird York has done, and I love this one the best. They are all good, but this is my favorite cd of all time. Sultry, sexy, dark and smokey all describe this cd. Alot of times, when a singer has their own style it comes with mumbling, and trying your best to understand the lyrics. Bird has a style that is all her own, and it really works. On this cd, you can understand the incredible poetry that is happening to the hypnotising music. If you put some headphones on, and crank it up, you'll be taken to another place. Birds singing performance on this cd has been un-matched by anyone. She has become my favorite singer of all time. Pick up this cd now, you will be glad that you did.
Haunting..........2001-12-13
I bought this cd a long time ago, listened to one song and put it away for awhile...my second take of this cd was much more profound and worthwhile. Each song managed to grab me, a combination of great songwriting, haunting melodies, and Bird's trademark alto reminiscent of Happy Rhodes in her lower register. This cd is worth purchasing if only for "I'm Not Laughing Anymore" and "What are you running after"...buy this cd, you won't regret it.
Bird York is a force to be reckoned with!.......2001-10-29
I recently talked to Bird York, and she is absolutely destined to make it big. Her songs are featured on the CBS hit television series "Family Law" airing Monday nights at 10:00, and her songs tackle subject matter that most artists stay away from, but with her soothing voice she does it well. Favorite song on the album is "Save Me". Please purchase this cd, Bird York's talent shouldn't be overlooked!
Bird York makes a great debut.......2001-10-14
I'm a huge fan of Portishead, and when I heard comments about Bird York sounding similar to them, I had to check her out. I was not disappointed, and I've grown to love her music more than Portishead. The best song on this CD is "Open Wider", though they are all great.
Bird York.......2001-04-11
I bought this C.D. "blind". I never heard a single cut of this C.D. before I purchased it. I bought it on the strength of a review comparing her music to Everything But The Girl and Portishead. I am not disappointed. Bird York has the magnetism of both Beth Gibbons and Tracy Thorn and should be on the A-List of pop vocalists. Beth and Tracy have better production crews, however. The mixing and engineering of the Portishead and Eveything But the Girl's production organizations are pristine. Bird York only gets a B+ on her production. That is a minor criticism and should be taken as such. Bird York will broaden her audience because she has the charisma and the artistry to do so. I would love to hear some remixes of songs on this CD by some of the great trip hop and techno specialists. A remix by Moby would problably render me a helpless Bird York zombie, given that fact that I have a weakness for naked backs. If anyone out there has more information on Bird York or wants to give me feedback on this review I am ZenChicken@aol.com

Good bargain........2004-08-25
The performances are good--this is the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company, after all--and you get 2 full CDs, with 2 selections from "Trial by Jury", 5 from "HMS Pinafore", 9 from "The Pirates of Penzance", 9 from "Iolanthe", 12 from "The Mikado", 6 from "The Yeomen of the Guard", and 13 from "The Gondoliers". The booklet is a bit skimpy, and only lists recording dates for the first CD (1929-1949). But the sound is good, and the music is great, and at this price it's a great "greatest hits" collection.
