About the Artist
Imagine Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis producing Hall & Oates. That might be the best depiction of Zwei. Although "zwei," the German word for "two," is properly pronounced "zvy," jones explains,"We thought we should change the sound of the word to something cooler, but the meaning is the same." Jones continues, "More personally, ‘two means We before I.’ Having composed, arranged, performed and produced every note of their debut album, The 2, and its follow up, 2'sday, Zwei is prepared to sail... read more

Album Description
An even more ecclectic and wider range of sounds, Zwei's sophomore offering is rather impressive. Filled with stories of their hometown, "Souled Out," a junkie's lament, "U St. Blues," and "Moon Over U," a cool go-go midtempo, 2'sday makes a brilliant statement for D.C.'s soul scene. The lyrics are poignant, check the Kravitz-esque power ballad, "Alone," and the production is multi-faceted. Maybe best stated in the album's lead off track, "...try our best to put it down for ol' D.C. and we hope y'all can all dig the sound," Zwei is here to stay.
