2 out of 5 stars Wes-less Limp Bizkit like LeBron-less Cavaliers........2007-05-14

"Eat You Alive" gave me false hope that this could be an alright album after the departure of Wes Borland. I was wrong. There is very little to like about this. The guitar riffs are weak and don't stick. There is an overall lack of cohesiveness. Wes was the glue that held this weak band together, and without him, they would have sucked and do suck now without him. Check out the songs online and download ones you like, but don't just buy this album in it's entirety. You're bound to be disappointed.

2 out of 5 stars Warning.......2007-04-11

This album has some Potential good songs on it, but the lyrics arw so goofy and meaningless that i actually laughed throughout the whole album, which i got from a friend cause he hated it. Im not kidding by the time the disc ended i was on the floor in pain from laughing so hard. Thank god they hung it up finally.

5 out of 5 stars People are wrong, this rocks!!!.......2007-03-07

I honestly love this CD!!! This features some great songs, including Eat You alive,Head for the Barricade, Almost Over, and Build a Bridge. I don't get why people don't like this, I love it!! One final note, some people complain this whines too much, but yet many bands that are popular whine way more!!! Basically, give this CD a try, and listen with an open mind and you will be surprised and amazed.

4 out of 5 stars 3.75 People can be short minded.......2007-01-08

No one will probably read this at this point, but i must write it anyway. When Bizkit 'Broke' there was NO hard rock / heavy bands getting anywhere! they at least brought some heavy riffs and spirit to a dead scene at the time. But of course after their success every rap based rock band got a deal and before you know it Limp Bizkit is the scapegoat and Laughing stock. Its unfair and Unwarranted. That is coming from a 20 yr metalhead who doesnt stray from that genre on a regular basis. I hate the fact that people who now bash, cant appreciate that fact and also the fact that they probably owned a 'Bizkit album or 2 a few years ago.
Now that i got that out, this cd was coming out at a point where Wes B left the band and the ADD music buying public turned there backs on Fred D.I appreciated the fact that this cd was as good as it was. It was experimental, but had the foundation of a typical LB cd. Mr Durst had to know that the times were changing and, in my opinion, he handled it well on this release.
But in actuality this CD contains some serious LB gems. Dare i say some of the BEST stuff they had released. Fred D puts a bit of depth in the lyrics on songs like 'Drown','Down Another Day' and 'Almost Over'. Just really cool lyrics that anyone with an .oz of depth could appreciate. Then there are just the EXCELLENT heavier tracks like 'Gimme the Mic', 'Head For The Barricade' (featuring a bass note that crawls up you as*)and 'Eat You Alive'.
Yes of course there are a couple less than stellar tracks but with 16 songs its hardly a bad deal. Limp Bizkit always had a few weak songs, at least for me being into the heavier stuff. But the cover of 'Behind Blue Eyes' is great. also the more Rap based 'Creamer' are exceptions. Both tracks sound refreshing and flow well.
People should really appreciate this band more. They sold a hell of a lot of records, but the pile-on mentality and just rediculous reviews are really lame. This CD is 80% on the mark. Too bad peoples attention spans last 5 years tops! Stupid.

1 out of 5 stars The end of the worst band to walk the earth........2006-11-08

Ok ok so I know they are still around and even have Wes Borland back (why would you want to rejoin?) for about a year, but this album was practically the end of all their fans and previous glory that they NEVER DESERVED. I used to think this pile of rubbish was good back in 5th grade, but now that I matured and began listening to bands like Opeth, Dark Tranquility, In Flames, Death, and bands that actually have a meaning to them besides "hey look at me I'm Fred Durst! I've been picked on even though I had numerous sexual encounters with celebs and have a load of money because I get airplay on MTV!" And even though I like those bands now, I still like some nu-metal including Soulfly (minus the songs in which he collaborated with Fred Durst), Korn (minus the song in which he collaborated with Fred Durst), Deftones (even though they aren't really nu-metal), occasionally Slipknot, and a few others; Durst (primarilly Durst) and crew are the dead possum that makes the genre suck.

Wow enough of talking about how much I hate the band I'm going to talk about how much I hate this album! It is pure stupidity mixed in with the generic Durst garbage. Without Borland this album just goes below the sewers of how their previous album was (Chocolate Starfish) and goes into the pile left from the dinosaurs that still rots under the crust. Yes, if you don't believe me then go buy this ridiculous mess of a crappy band. You will regret it but learn..

1 out of 5 stars The worst band ever...........2006-04-16

I know this is already out there, but this isthe worst album of all time by the worst band of all time. If you bought this, I have one thing to say to you: SUCKER!!!! Fred Durst actually add the ignorance to disgrace Behind Blue Eyes from The Who and try to pass it off as his own song. Now, The Who is being attacked by all of you idiotic MTV-core kids and you say that The Who "RiPpEd It oFf LiMp BiZkIt>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>333333333" Well, you little idiots, The Who came out with that song in 1971 Limp Bizkit destroyed it. Fred Durst deserves to be hanged for disgracing a great song from one of the greatest bands in rock.

I'm no expert on Metal, but I know more than enough about it to know this isn't metal, or even music. If you want REAL metal, check out:
Iron Maiden
Black Sabbath
Dream Theater
Megadeth
Metallica (80s)
Slayer
Pantera
Opeth
Rage Against the Machine

That;s the only metal bands that I can think of right now. I know there are many, many other great metal bands out there, but I'm no expert on Metal. But, like I said, I know more than enough about it to know this isn't metal or even music.

1 out of 5 stars Buying limp bizkit cds is like wasting money..........2005-09-04

Rap-metal isn't around anymore thank god and wimp bizkit still trying to bring that garbage back? No!Anyways, "results may vary " is just plain horrible and dumb lirycs and over-all? A poser sound... Rap metal does suck and im glad it doesn't exist anymore. F*cking posers.

1 out of 5 stars THIS is what metal is all about!.......2005-09-03

God I love this album. Limp Bizkit is like the best band ever. This album is so brutal and technical. The riffs here are very difficult to play. The drum beats are over 500 bpm and the bass here is so heavy and awesome. And my god! Fred Durst's violent lyrics and vocals are awesome! Best LB album to date! Rock on Limp Bizkit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! \m/

For slow ones I was joking. All that needs to be said is that it's 2006 (this is an edited review) and this still ranks as The Worst. Album. Ever.

God hating this band is fun ;)

4 out of 5 stars AN OVERALL GOOD, NOT GREAT ALBUM FOR BIZKIT!.......2005-06-19

OKay, first off, this c.d. does not suck, you want a c.d. that sucks, get THE STARTING LINE- BASED ON A TRUE STORY, anyways Eat YOu ALIVE is a killer song, probably one of my favorites by the band, gimme the mic is also killer, creamer is a great song, phenomenon is great, i'll admit though red light, green light isn't that good, but it is listenable, yah fred durst isn't the best vocalist, but he isn't trying to be, he's a rapper before anything anyways, however he screams really well though. so to sum it all up LIMP BIZKIT isn't the best band out there by far, but definently one of the better out there, this album is a mix of alot of different and good sounds. GO AND GET IT!

1 out of 5 stars Limp Bizkit Has Always Sucked.......2005-03-29

I don't get it. Some people usually like the first Limp Bizkit album, "Three Dollar Bill, Yall$", and they avoid the rest. Yes, "Three Dollar Bill, Yall$" is underrated, but it is good? No. It's not really that different from all of the other Limp Bizkit releases (especially this P.O.S.). Fred Durst can't rap worth crap on ANY record. Just listen to this crap record and listen to "Three Dollar Bill". Really, it's not that different. Limp Bizkit has always been terrible. You may not agree with me, but the musicians have no talent and Fred Durst ruins everything. Just because CD's are underrated doesn't mean that they're always good.

If you want some good rap-metal, get these records instead:

Rage Against The Machine - self-titled
One Minute Silence - Available In All Colors
Orange 9mm - Driver Not Included
Faith No More - The Real Thing
Anthrax - I'm The Man EP
Candiria - 300 Percent Density
E.Town Concrete - The Second Coming
Downset - self-titled

Or see my Listmania list called "Rap Metal That Doesn't Suck". Limp Bizkit has always been terrible.

4 out of 5 stars Something New.......2005-04-23

If your a traditional limpbizkit fan then you might not enjoy this album much as it only has 3 heavy songs(Eat You Alive, Gimmie the Mic, and Head for the Barricade) however limpbizkit with temporary guitarist Mike Smith take a new approach in this album as the songs like Build a Bridge and Down Another Day are emotional and have real meaning. If you would like to see how limpbizkit has evolved as a band and gone in new directions but still kept some of the same stuff that we all love then pick up Results May Vary.

3 out of 5 stars Wimp Bizkit!!! HA!!!.......2004-06-14

In my 8th grade year(2000), it somehow became the epitome of `cool' to own any album by LIMP BIZKIT. Why? Because they were loud, heavy, cussed a whole bunch, and were utterly mesmerized with the idea of sex. Since all of these things were completely contrary to all the morals our parents had taught us keep, we, the rebellious pre-teens we were, obviously embraced it. The same could be said for KORN, METALLICA, NINE INCH NAILS, and all those other bands that love Satan alot. NOW, of course, we realize how silly and retarded LIMP BIZKIT truly is.

Unlike my hard-core peers, I'd never quite connected with all of these `unconventional', rebellious ideals, so I've never really experienced the stupidity of this band until my friend burned me a copy of "Results May Vary". I'd heard the single `Eat You Alive', and I thought it was pretty cool. I mean, that riff was SICK, and the vocals from Fred Durst were pretty strong and interesting. I thought.

So I listened. And to tell the truth, I like most of the music on the record. Some of it is sorta heavy(`Eat You Alive', `Gimme the Mic', `Head for the Barricades'), but most of the album is sort of not. The second single, the WHO cover `Behind Blue Eyes', is a very soft and, seriously, a very touching song when played by these guys. Please forgive my ineptitude, but I really just could never connect with it the same way when played by it's original creators. The closing track `Drown' is my favorite on the album. There's absolutely NO heavy parts at all. It starts soft and stays that way through the whole track. I love Fred's voice, alright? It's great on this song, on `Behind Blue Eyes', on `Eat You Alive', on `Underneath the Gun', on `Build a Bridge', on lots and lots of songs. If I were grading the album solely on it's musical/vocal merits, it would get a solid four stars, no joke. BUT... the lyrics that are causing a travesty that I simply can't ignore.

Almost every song, besides a select few, contain some of the most mundane lyrics ever put to record. I assume relentless `cool' references to sex, extreme usage of `radical' cusswords, `intense' whining of depression over your consistent failure in life and how miserable your existence has been are all a bunch of things that will you sell millions of records. And I don't know about your other albums, but this one is definitely proving that. Retards.

MY TOP PICKS:
- `Underneath the Gun' (LIMP, you'd be a fool to NOT release this as a single)
- `Drown'
- `Behind Blue Eyes'
- `Build a Bridge'
- `Down Another Day'
- `Let me Down'

These guys are down alot. 2.5 stars, blown up to three. If you're a rebellious eight grader, this is all you need. As well as some MUDVAYNE, or whatever else is mindless metal.

3 out of 5 stars Dunno about the CD, but they ripped off The Who.......2004-04-16

They ripped off The Who's song "Behind Blue Eyes". The Who did a much better job with that song, and if you think that Limp Bizkit is a genius for that song, you are dumb. Get The Who's version and enjoy it instead.

4 out of 5 stars nice.......2004-02-08

this c.d is great but, it is not quite as good as "chocolate starfish and hotdog flavoured water" still i recomend this c.d its great. go ahead and buy all there c.ds there all good.
good luck.

4 out of 5 stars WHOA.. THIS IS PRETTY GOOD.......2004-01-25

I'm surprised by this cd. I've never been a Limp Bizkit fan, in fact I definatly make a point to stay away from nu-metal in general. Usually I'm more of and indie rock kid but I heard the single "Eat You Alive" and was really surprised. If a band like Thursday had released the song people would have applauded. On that note I would alos like to say that I didn't run out and buy the album. I picked it up for a buck at the local record exchange cause it was a dollar and I was pretty happy with it. Songs like "build a bridge" and the "only one" are really good. check this out. used.

yo dude first of all the cd isnt even out yet, second of all its wes....of kourse you dont like limpbizkit if you can even spell the ex-guitar players name, and i personally am a huge LB fan LB rocks and to me it sounds like they are going back to what they do best, all there cds rock if you look at them from a diff. perspective, but it seems like on this one they are going back to rawness of 3 dolla bills yall, which is awesome.

5 out of 5 stars TO ALL YOU PEOPLE WHO HAVE REVIEWED THIS CD(xcept me)!!!!!!!.......2003-08-28

How do you guys(xcept me) even know that its bad by judging from a couple of songs. We don't know what the album will be like yet so don't give it a single rating. And no i don't like limbizkit, i just gave it 5 stars to make up for those stupid one star reviews given by the people who are f**ks who just review this album(xcept me) without listening. And really how do we know the whole album is bad. Who knows this album could be a classic like master of puppets by metallica. Look all im saying is give this album a chance. You don't have to like them, but please, just give them a chance. And to the 5 star reviewers why give them 5 stars without even hearing the whole album you cahcs.

1 out of 5 stars hey limp fan.......2003-08-19

this album is the epitomie of what is wrong with rock music today we dont need garbage like this cd limp biskit should just give up and go back to florida because once west borlan left the band they have never been the same since they used to have an energy and an auora to them but since then they are a shadow of themselves fred durst should retire and do smoething else like try to make really lame movies or produce red baseball hats limp bizkit is done lets stick a fork in them people WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5 out of 5 stars Why do you come here?.......2003-08-15

I am giving this 5 stars, because I have complete faith in Limpbizkit. I don't get why the people who don't even like Limpbizkit come here to their cd buying page? If they don't like them obviously they aren't going to buy the cd...right? So why waste all your time saying negative things, it is so childish. If you like them, praise them. If you don't go to a Cd you do like and praise that..Isn't there enough hate around, that you have to make comments on people you don't even know personally. Love them or hate them, just keep all the negativity to yourself, Please...Thanx

I think this CD is the best recording Limp Bizkit ever made. Fred shows more talent and the music is a little more meaningful than it has been in the past. I have listened to this CD over and over and I don't get sick of it. If you are a LB fan, this CD is a must. If you are not already a fan give this CD a try and I'm sure you will enjoy it.
