Time Well Wasted
Editorial Reviews
St. Paul Pioneer Press, Dec. 27, 2002
Unguided Missile hits a bull's-eye on its rootsy new one, "Time Well Wasted".
Pulse of the Twin Cities, Dec. 25, 2002
Something like punk-for-grownups: their sound is still brash and immediate, but hardcore screaming has given way to a world-weary crooning.

Brad Paisley's previous release, Mud on the Tires, was the sort of landmark album nearly every artist has difficulty topping. Not so this time. On Time Well Wasted, Paisley's voice--never overwhelmed by overmixed instruments (a problem dogging many current vocalists)--remains keenly focused. There's quality material in abundance, heavy on originals and delightfully quirky bonus tracks. The album's first hit, Paisley's self-penned "Alcohol," has the potential to become a lasting anthem in a genre where booze songs long ago became an art form. Guy Clark's "Out in the Parkin' Lot," a duet with Alan Jackson, sounds more organic, less contrived than most Music Row pairings. The same applies to "When I Get Where I'm Going," a spiritual duet with Dolly Parton. As in the past, Paisley's country-jazz Telecaster prowess (phemonenal on the dazzling instrumental "Time Warp") remains remarkable, as does his insistence that his sidemen get ample space to shine. Such assets set Paisley apart, as does his ability to make real creativity commercially successful in a Nashville concerned mainly with the latter. --Rich Kienzle

Album Description
Time Well Wasted reunites Brad with producer Frank Rogers for a 16-track collection sporting 10 selections from Paisley's pen, including first single, "Alcohol," the fastest-rising chart single of his career. Look for multiple guest stars, including Dolly Parton (featured on "When I Get Where I'm Going") and Paisley labelmate Alan Jackson, who duets on the Guy Clark/Darrell Scott gem, "Out in the Parkin' Lot."

Another Fine Piece of Music for Your Collection.......2007-07-19
This is a very diverse CD with some great music that should be a welcome addition to anyone's music collection. Brad's unique sense of humor always comes through in his music and make his CDs fun to listen to. A nice mix of the fun and serious lyrics that keep you listening over and over. Another great piece of work by Mr. Paisley.
If you have not seen him in concert it is a real treat - he is a master musician and his wonderful sense of humor makes your concert experience a fun one.
Bright Paisley.......2007-06-24
When I first saw Brad Paisley I thought he was a hayseed singer with a hat too big for his head. That was though until he opened his mouth and sang. He has a warm honey voice that throughly enjoyable to listen to. This CD is varied with ballads, up-tempo to humorous. His funny songs are a favorite of mine. I don't think anyone will be disappointed in this CD
Time Well Wasted- Brad Paisley.......2007-06-13
This CD arrived very fast. I listen to it constantly and really like it. I appreciate that Amazon.com sold it to me for considerably LESS than Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, Target, Silver Platters or any other retailer where I had priced it at.
Thanks, Amazon!

Customer Reviews:
nice work.......2003-08-19
I keep listening to this album, and it sounds better and better. Unusual arrangements including subtle harmonies and occasional violin, banjo, and accordian make for catchy tunes and haunting anthems. And this is done without the self-conscious cuteness of many indie rock bands. I saw the band live in Chicago and they're refreshingly free of pretension. Nice work, gents.
unguided.......2003-05-20
"Punk rock for adults"...perhaps. Equal parts roots rock and hardcore howl-the `Missiles' offer a solid first launch with this one. Incorporating some of the best aspects of Midwestern music, this band walks the line between folk sentimentality and punk rock bluster. Attempts to describe this band with a mathematical formula of other bands would not do them justice. Among the many highlights on this album are the epic tidal wave of "Ocean", the sincere "Point Of View", and the bracingly brief title track "Time Well Wasted". The same title track is an unlikely closing note for this album, a fitting closer, which leaves the door wide open on the way out.
