Submolecular [Explicit Lyrics]

About the Artist
Static Engine was founded in the mid-1990's by frontman Paul Furio while he was a student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, in Troy, NY. Formed as a means of artistic expression amidst a somewhat opressive technological atmosphere, Static Engine quickly grew to a more serious endevor when Paul moved to Boston and hooked up with musicians Christopher Rae ([Int21h], Null Character) and vocalist Izzy Lee. With valuable feedback from several area musicians, the demo album "Entropy City" was completed just as Paul moved once again, this time to Seattle.

Once in Seattle, Static Engine, quickly received the attention of label ADSR Musicwerks, which agreed to release the new album, "Submolecular." While pre-production work began on this album, a collaboration of artists around the country put together remixes for the "Encrypt/Decrypt" single, which quickly became a club hit in Boston and other cities around the USA. Meanwhile, keyboardist Nicole Edmonds and Noxious Emotion drummer Darren Miller were recruited for live performances.

Always reaching towards new directions, the new album is a collection of songs relating to one's perceived place in the Social Order, at both local and global scales, and how this perception often differs from reality. Static Engine plans on playing several shows, and possibly touring in the summer of 2002, to support "Submolecular."

In addition to songwriting, Paul has also joined cyber-industrial-rap band SMP as a live keyboardist and studio engineer.

Album Description
Combining Dancefloor-Ready beats with Thought-Provoking Lyrics, Submolecular is the debut for Static Engine on Seattle's own Industrial/Gothic label, ADSR Musicwerks. Contains the club hits "Silent Skies" and "Encryp/Decrypt".
