In The Company Of Wizards

Editorial Reviews
About the Artist
Singer/songwriter Beldon has had a career as varied as his musical influences. Classically trained as an opera singer, self-taught as a rock musician and composer, he combines his varied experiences into carefully orchestrated song pieces reminiscent of early Moody Blues. Beldon is currently working on a new CD. He has most recently been seen playing bass in a touring production of The Rocky Horror Show.

Album Description
A collection of mystical progressive-pop songs which takes the listener on a tour through the mystifying and sometimes conflicted landscape of dreams and aspirations. The Company of Wizards asks us to forget who we think we are, see ourselves in our most unflattering light, and then dares us to love what we're left with when our most cherished beliefs seem to have abandoned us.

4 out of 5 stars Keeping Good Company.......2002-07-18

Since I was in on the production of this album, I am not an unbiased opinion.

That said, however, I think this an album worth a close listen. Beldon uses the experiences in his life to create poetic lyrics which he then matches to wonderful, accessible melodies. His heart and soul are in this music, which is not as common as it should be. Aside from a little help from his friends, everything on this album is Beldon's work.

While pagans may find special meaning in many of the songs, those of us in mainstream religions can take a lot from this album. It is a wonderful look at one man's vision of the world and his place in it.

5 out of 5 stars Poetry for the soul.......2001-02-15

The content of this CD is totally intoxicating. It grants you peace and spiritual release from the terrors of the day, and brings you closer to yourself than you ever thought you could be. Hypnotic and lyrical, this CD is sure to earn a special place on your shelf.

4 out of 5 stars Music, Magic and other Mysteries.......2000-07-30

This album is the first I've heard by this artist and I hope it will not be the last. The music style is unique in that it adds a mystical and sensual overtone to what could otherwise be ordinary pop. In this day and it is refreshing to hear the kind of originalty that is found in tracks such as Wizard's Procession.

4 out of 5 stars Hometown Boy Does Well.......2000-04-01

Great initial work by an artist who had a lot of music in him long before this album was made. You can see some of his developmental influences in his musical choices. (Look, I grew up with the guy!) Way to go T.D.

This style music is a first for me, and when I first listened to the CD, I was moved. I felt the songs moving, soothing, and the words hypnotic.
