I just pulled this out again after not hearing it for a while. Still fresh and exciting. Everyone is talking about the bass player but the other guys are no slouches either - shredding guitars, squawky sax, freaky drums...

think Foetus meets Naked City meets Madonna.

This is an ideal album for anyone disenchanted with the current state of popular music. These guys make a mockery of song writing and have managed to outrage quite a few purists in their travels. I observed a show of Undertoad's in Ashland Oregon where an irate barfly began to heckle the bassist/singer, Dave. Dave calmy looked at the guy, told him to come a little closer and then somehow ended up with the poor guys severed left ear clenched in his teeth. It was true talent. Basically, this type of capering is reflected in the music. Indeed a wise investment if you hate a wide variety of things.
