Lush vocals, intriguing lyrics, and a jazzy beat, Kash is one to be listened to as a true talent."
About the Artist
A recent transplant to her native Detroit, Tracy Kash is quickly building a strong reputation and faithful following, just like the one she has already established over the last 5 years in New York City. With her unique brand of jazz-influenced rock, she is very well received both live and through growing radio exposure. Tracy is an artist known for being able to withstand the most extreme performance conditions, such as being hit by a seemingly endless barrage of bubbles while singing -... read more
Album Description
This album features truly outstanding, music performed by outrageously talented musicians. The music is difficult to pigeon-hole; a very unique and funky blend of jazz, rock and R&B influences. These rich melodies and often complex, unusual harmonies can't help but captivate the listener. Considering the combination of the very musical & seemingly effortless delivery of vocalist Tracy Kash and the phenomenally creative efforts of the fine gents in the band, the title of the CD is no mystery.

Great pick - STRONGLY Recommend.......2004-03-06
I recently caught a live Tracy Kash show. I was incredibly impressed with the sophisticated songwriting and musicianship of Tracy and colleagues - truly top notch. The CD is extremely enjoyable, but I highly recommend trying to catch a live show - it's a very worthwhile thing. My only disappointment is that I believe she only has one album out - let's get going on the next one, Tracy! And Mr. Seattle (below), with all due respect, what planet are you on? Deaftopia?? ; )
Sweet.......2004-03-06
I saw Tracy Kash, perform in Ann Arbor last month and was really moved so I ordered this CD. What an incredible musician! Really pretty music and lovely arrangements. Enjoy!
Utterly horrible.......2003-08-27
After we played this CD, we found ourselves having to comfort the neighborhood children who were convinced that an animal was dying a painful death in our house.
It's really awful. Are we sure this isn't a joke? Maybe it's some kind of "Weird Al" take on lounge singers ...
Keep the day job.
Detroit Welcomes a Sultry Siren.......2002-06-06
I first heard Tracy Kash at Xhedos Coffee shop in Ferndale.
I've since had the pleasure of hearing her play her originals
and many Jazz Standards at Woodruff's Supper Club in Royal Oak. She has a bluesy, rocky, jazzy style that is perfect for just about any occasion. Her lyrics are engaging. She seems to write about personal experiences that we've all been through at one point in our lives or another. Family, falling in and out of love, just making it through another crazy day of living.
Favorites on Disc: Wading in Waiting, Home, Full Moon Day.
This CD sizzles with rock, jazz, and blues beats! Awesome!.......2002-05-26
I like to try and buy cd's from artists that I have seen in the clubs around the country. And sometimes, the payoff is pure gold. Kash was a dynamic staple of the New York club scene but recently moved her gorgeous voice and arrangements to her hometown of Detroit. Was definitely a loss for NYC. Kash has a sultry, full, pure voice. She pens and arranges her own tunes with technical prowess and emotional power that is rarely found these days. Songs like "Home," "Where Is She?" and "Wading in Waiting" are personal, poetic, and punchy. The musicianship is top notch (Kash started her professional life as a symphony musician and studied at the Boston Conservatory). The lyrics, jazzy beats, bluesy tunes and soulful delivery make this one of my favorites. Buy this now!!
