The Tenaglia mixes of this song are not to bad, but they are not his best work either. With lots of beats and blips, until the vocals come in, where it comes to a stop, Deborah sings and when she's finished, the beats come back. This continues through the whole mix. Not really club friendly, but good for a listen anyways. The dub is more club friendly. Personally, I prefer the remixed versions of her older songs ("Rapture", "Atomic" and "Call Me" come to mind)...

the best stuff you could want from blondie. deborah's beautiful voice and awesome music deserves 10 stars for this cd and many others that the group has put out.buy it! it's worth every cent!

I strongly recommend Part II of "Nothing Is Real" because it has a really funky version of the song - the "Boilerhouse Mix."
(Part I is also essential because is has excellent live versions of "Rip Her to Shreds" and the new classic, "Maria.")

This song along with Maria was one of the standouts on Blondie's reunion set"No Exit".The single version is slightly different from the album version making it more catchy,and an accompanying video which is equally fab.Musically Nothing Is Real... sounds like it was lifted of One of Blondie's classic sets,Parallel Lines Or Eat TO The Beat.

Nothing is Real But The Girl is probably tied with Maria as the greatest songs on the album. It is sort of like One Way or Another, the really exciting song on the album. Great singing.

Another unforgettable song from the excellent "No Exit" album. As usual, the lyrics are both wry and poignant and the melody is classic, edgy "Eat to the Beat" Blondie.
"Nothing is Real..." is just what we Blondie fans want - more Jimmy Destri!

Review of Americans in London.......2006-03-09
The recording is excellent and replaces my old 78 recordings which I transferred to tape some years ago. But they have that horrible hissing noise which spoils my enjoyment of them.
It is to be observed that although the cast is American, the orchestras and conductors are British (except for Debroy Sommers). I know qite a bot about Deboy Sommers and Lew Stone, but can anyone fill me in about Reginald Burston?
The CD is great. Thank you to Amazon for this.
