Chicagoland's own, 59fifty, releases their debut album entitled Conversion. The band blends alternative, classic rock, and pop with poignant lyrics. Songs such as the title track, Conversion, show the band in a more angry light, while slow ballads such as The Rainmaker and Believe are throwbacks to the great ballads of the '70's. 40 minutes in length, this album from start to finish will have you guessing.

      If you are looking for rarities, or want to try something interesting and new, try this one. Full of incredible invention and good pianistic sense, music of Korngold is worth to listen. Good idea, Mr. Kubalek.

      Very fine music, sounds like mixture of Rachmaninov and Schoenberg. Result of co-operation of greatest Canadian musicians - Glenn Gould and Antonin Kubalek. Written by very young person, but I can't believe, that it's true...

      A colleague just came by as this album was playing and asked "What is that stuff - Clannad or something?" When I showed him the cover he looked it over for a minute, and told me, "you got some weird problems, man." This is a very chanty, ethereal album, reminiscent of some old Dead Can Dance but a little lighter. The vocals are very hard to follow, and I usually play it just as background music when I'm writing or reading. The last two songs, apparently some unfinished bonus tracks, strangely start to speed up and become more like regular songs in an old-fashioned darkwave style.

      I was intrigued by the haunting quality of this group's sound. They have a talent for imprinting their style on one's mind, sealing it with vocals that resemble an instrument more than a voice. It has the style of New Order, mixed with some early Cure and finished with a spiritual essence. I would strongly encourage a re-release of this group's work.

      ok. don't listen to that twirp below. this album is incredible. no bad songs on it. its not garage-metal. its straight up dc hardcore. buy his copy, he doesnt deserve it!

      I was sorely disappointed after tracking down this CD, and discovering that it's not even the right band! I was expecting that it would at least be categorized right on this site, and I would be receiveing an album by the INDUSTRIAL band Battery.

      On the other hand, to anyone who desperately needs a fix for some garage-band metal, this is your CD. Want to buy my copy?

      this cd is unbelievable! probly their best one. the guitarist for this band has gotta one of the best the scene has to offer. great lyrics, i still can't get enough of track 2. if your in high school and your into hc, check out this song. the 7 seconds cover is great. from what i gather, it's a pretty rare cd, so don't miss out, it's insane!

      This is a now very hard to find CD version of the two 7 inch records released by this Southern California hardcore band. Zack de la Rocha was in this band, but not on lead vocals yet! It's pretty standard late-80's hardcore with lyrics mainly about scene social politics.
