I have been a big R.A.W fan for a while, and I was really excited when I found out he mixed this cd. It looks really cheesy on the cover, but I had to give it a try. After listening several times I must say that I am disapointed. This cd is just way too mediocre. If you have ever heard R.A.W. before then you know that he spins hard beats, with some hip hop and some and a lot of trickery mixed in. None of those element are on this cd. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because of who it is. If you really want to hear his good stuff then order some of the mix cd's he sells online.

R.A.W., arguably the best D&B DJ on the West Coast, mixes this album flawlessly, and chooses some great tracks. My personal favorites are "Nightrider" and "Diet for Murder", which are the darkest on this particular release. Not nearly as good as R.A.W.'s mixtapes, but still excellent for people looking for some great D&B on CD.

5 out of 5 stars Best Dance Compilation Ever Recorded.......2000-09-10

I bought this in a cassette tape form about 3 years ago and loved it. I had just met a friend and we were just getting to know each other. I had this tape and we put it in one summer sunday afternoon and listen to it about 6 tapes times that afternoon. After that I actually wore the tape out and then bought the CD. I went to a party and left the CD at a friends house and I have since moved so I am so very excited that I found it on Amazon because I have looked and looked for it in different record stores. I would recommend this CD for anyone who loves dance music, it is one of the best I have ever heard because the entire CD is excellent. Not just one or two songs but the entire CD.

      This, like it's preceeding sibling, is phenomenal. Living close to the Mexican border, I'd frequent the clubs for their ecentric style of music, beats, and sounds, a sensation never before felt, until these two cds were released.

      Beautiful, perfect mixes, and after hearing the first, I didn't hesitate not buying the second volume without even listening to it's contents, not to mention knowing only three of the artist on the disk. All of these song were and still are great Spanish club hits and mixed like I"d never heard before, but like I'd known, I was not disappointed, and neither will any one else purchasing this little piece of Mexico.

      When I first heard the cd I was amazed on how good some of the tracks really were. Almost straight out of a Los Angeles pop/rock en espanol night club. Something I love. I can honestly say that this cd has 5 solid tracks on it that will either make you raise the volume really high or just dance.

      If you are looking for some latin pop dance music, this cd is for you. I like all the songs on this cd. I can listen to it over and over again. It is good even if you are not fluent in spanish. Honestly, it is the best cd I own.

      20 songs (not counting the irrelevant intro by "D.J. Alex Perez") in under 57 minutes? Consider yourself warned: most of the songs (except the ones by nobodies like "Zar") are edited down to two- or three-minute snippets. "Bailando" for instance only clocks in at 2:03. OK for parties but if you like the songs (and that's why you're thinking about buying this, right?) just remember this CD doesn't give you the whole enchilada.

      The CD also brags about having "video of the hottest Latin dance clubs." Having watched the video, I can say the only way this claim could be true is if 1) It was filmed on a July afternoon and 2) They turned off the AC.

        Holy ****! I didn't think Amazon had this. What's worse, I have no idea what prompted me to look it up! This label released a series of dance cds in the mid-late nineties that rivaled all of the "DMA", "MTV Party To Go" and any of the other dance mixes you can think of. That is until around 97', or 98', when Trance was really big and labels like Euphoria and MOS came into full swing. But this, wow. It's from an era slightly before those commercialized (MOS and BMG) conglomerates took a suffocating hold on the market. Think the time period right after Everything But the Girl's "Missing" remixed, during Madonna's "Ray of Light" remixed, yet before "Greece 2000" or "Cafe Del Mar". Uh-huh. This was the time of Europa, techno, Drum & Base, Jungle and fading House. Well, maybe not in that order. And this one is really mostly Europa.

        And this wasn't so bad. Admittedly it had some catchy tracks on it that I really enjoyed - some songs take me back to the club scene while in college in the late nineties. Good times. I remember "Freed From Desire" in 1997 being HUGE. The artist was listed as "Gala" or "Galaxy" on numerous compilations and some mixes were better than others. The one here seems a bit more raw. Then again, the CD is about 7 or 8 years old. And then there's the track "Whales". Of course this is a track that pretty much added whale sounds to Robert Miles wildly popular cut "Children" which became an icon of dance music. Heck, it's still played today in some places. And the French Cut "Small World", or "Tout Petit La Planete" isn't original either - swiping the same beat as "Children" and adding the French vocal ala the Sash! cut popular maybe a year earlier "Encore me Fois!" which had "ECUADOR" on the other side of the 12". Redemption is great though in the form of Euro Pop Clubbish "Snow on a Hot Day" which gives me images of the bustle of city nightlife... from the expensive cars, beautiful women eyeing to cut the line and the snobs that dropped $20 to the bouncer to simply skip the line.

        Still interested in this? Good luck finding it - venders here sell it for maybe 6 bucks. I'd hold out until it's maybe $1.50. But then again I already have it and spent more than that so that shows my foresight upon picking it up. Hey, it seemed like a great idea at the time! Anyway, unless you have an affinity to the time this was released or went to clubs in the USA circa 1997-1998, you may not recognize most tracks. But if you went on Holiday in Ibiza or Bodrum (Turkey) in some of these times them you'll get a hit of nostalgic bliss. That is, assuming you can get over hearing a remake of Milli Vanilli's "Girl You Know it's True" and a gut-wrenching rendition of the old track "I Want Candy". Otherwise you may want to stay away and look for some of the more modern dance releases that are on the market.

        This is cute poppy, not too candy sweet music featuring mixes from "96 and "97. Hi-NRG has a lot of the fun snappy Italian beats; some of the romantic French dance feel as provided with "Tout Petit La Planete" by Paul Bizz and Cindy Ree; and some Blue Ocean trance reminiscent of Robert Miles"s "Children". Also, I can"t help liking Restless"s nostalgic remix of "Horse with No Name". As much as I enjoy many of the individual tracks, I question the DJ"s heavy hand and lack of direction in the melding of his twelve selections. Manny Lehman is trying to cover an excessive range of genres from pop to remix covers to trance to beat in too little time.

        It is a great cd. If you have heavy bass it has great songs for it. It is great for skating too. It is truely worth the money.
