Well-known Los Angeles & Orange County artists on the "Live Bands in the House: Volume 3" CD include: rapper Kelly B. & Midnight Brown performing "Things I Did," and alt rock from JACAR ("Taxi") and Urban Sprawl ("Fly"). The Irish-styled sonics of The American Wake ("Mulligan's Bar") and The McGrath Brothers ("Tito") emerge in the midst of a world-wide interest in Celtic music. Other noted Southern California-based acts on the long-playing disc include noted folk duo Bright Blue Gorilla performing "Greed," freewheeling funk-rockers Project Tru performing "Livin' in Make Believe," well-known punk outfit Split Second delivering a blistering version of "Return to Sender" and Newport Beach singer-songwriter Carol Martini singing the haunting "Because You Love Me." Swingin' Pimpcats, who effortlessly blend ska and neo-swing, rollick through a version of the band's own "Chump".
