Dub'n'Bass: Omen II

Editorial Reviews
About the Artist
Mick Hale created Division #9 in late 1995, supplementing the more industrial sounds of Crocodile Shop with the techno-house/dub-oriented sound of "the True Creator" (on the now-defunct Fifth Colvmn/Full Contact label). A year later, the Division #9 vs. THC project evloved into proGREX.iv album "ReInvention Operation" (also on Fifth Colvmn). Hale has been making industrial pop music in Crocodile Shop (on both Tinman and Metropolis Records) since 1986.

Album Description
Division #9 is the solo project of Mick hale of the cutting-edge electro-industrial dance acts Crocodile Shop. "Omen II" furthers the blur between industrial and electronicA. A longtime dj of both mainstream and underground dancefloors, Hale has always looked for new sounds to incorporate into his music. "Omen II" uses a backbone of drum and bass, attached to an exotic and eclectic dub sensibility. "Omen II" merges drum'n'bass trends with the lush sonic experimentalism and hallucinogenic dub... exploring a very different kind of jungle.

4 out of 5 stars Dub Nation Please Rise.......2001-04-05

With this CD you will get one of the greatest dub experiences ever. Just pop this into your cd player and let it carry you away to a mixture of a light drum n bass..with some ambience feel to it..and definitely the bass pounding in your ear. Which does actually lives up to it's title. Dub n bass. Dub nation please rise and clap for this fine album. If you like dub or wish to get to know it better..this is definitely the cd to start by or a must have.
