I've Got You Right Where You Want Me [Explicit Lyrics]

Editorial Reviews
Minnesota Daily, February 18, 1999
Even after hearing these songs only a few times, you'll be singing along as if you've known them forever, and you'll feel the same sort of affection for them as well...almost any of the songs on this album are hooky enough to make anyone a fan of Lily Liver's sound -- Perhaps it's that kind of outlook that makes it possible for lyrics such as, "I've got it in my head / that everything we had is dead," (from "Bless Your Soul") to be sung over bouncy music that makes the song sound like a celebration.

Whatever it is that makes the songs on Where You Want Me so amazingly infectious, Lily Liver has got it down. For those who have been waiting years for them to release an album, it was worth it, and for those unfamiliar with Lily Liver, her debut album serves as a perfectly imperfect introduction.

From the Label
Lily Liver's debut full-length album is chock full of infectious power pop hits. Presenting disillusionment in their happy-go-lucky manner, they will make you an instant fan. Disgruntled lyrics set on top of a truckload of hooks makes a sweet and sour sauce so good you'll be asking for more! It's also what made this long awaited debut the first big local hit of 1999 in the Twin Cities! Lily Liver has weathered personal and professional roadblocks for the 6 years of their existence, and... read more

5 out of 5 stars Great CD to cruise around to........1999-03-20

This band I saw about five years ago. I couldn't find any of their music at local stores. Then I found this album here. I am so glad I found it. I have listened to it 12 times in the first 48 hours, I've been staying up late listening. The album has driving beat. It gets your head bopping from the first song and keeps it bopping 'till the end. I would definatley encourage anyone open for a new album to buy this one.

I LOVE this cd. It has not left my cd player since I got it over a month ago. I can't even pick a favorite since there are so many stand-outs. I only wish they were on tour so I could catch them in Boston. You won't be disappointed.
