Editorial Reviews There is a highly secret core known only to their friends and the powers that be. They do not wear make up to hide their identity, but they do wear funny clothes and wild wigs, so you still may not know them when you see them, sort of. Bunch of loose cannons is what they are
. About the name~ A loose cannon is a reference to old naval warships having cannons bolted down to the deck. When one of these cannons broke loose, due to high seas or battle, they were dangerous in that they could crush someone, or shoot at the very ship they were on. Hence, the colloquial term applied to a person being a loose cannon means that the person is uncontrolled and can do any kind of damage~ anything from exposing the truth without reservation, to exposing things not meant to be, ahem, exposed, period. The band uses this play on words and other analogies as well with our particular spelling~ Luce- An international measure of light Not sense the turn of the last century have the themes of the mystical "Arthurian Tales" and the "Holy Grail" been expressed in poetry and music combined. What may be described as "symphonic rock" this is the first cd of the heartfelt project, taking the listener into a world of spiritual themes. Yet, the words are not like any spirituality we are accustomed to, though the music sounds oddly familiar. What emerges is an open path of tone for wandering and wondering about the mystical Grail, alchemy, lost, and found, love.

Transformational 'Honey'.......2002-01-24
There are times I wanted the music to accelerate into a breaking rock, but Richardes delivers it like prized poetry, holding it back from fragmenting. Richarde's vocals bring these primal longings of love, harmony and glory to life. His prayers of peace, power and play are well orchestrated in this first 6-song collection.
At times the guitar evokes like a medieval harp, with riffs that seem to speak about the stories 'centering' around any 'collective' interference. Deep percussion drives the pulse of this well orchestrated journey. Richarde also adds two surprise poems at the tail of the CD.
Something in the arrangements was so familiar, yet distinct. It is like he has woven modern and medieval into a very wearable pattern. And made the 'honey' within this hexagram (propolis) available for the 'transformational sucking'.
I would love to hear this work backed by a full orchestra, like the Moody Blues. Richarde is unfolding an opera-like rock that will have many chapters and be a treat to repeat and reflect upon long into this century.
It is also refreshing to hear someone be willing to depart form garbage fast-food rock and take us on a deeper journey. His commitment to unveil this Grail (and possibility for a more harmonic cultural) and inspire personal power to awaken.... feels genuine.
