Dispelling the Analog Myth

Editorial Reviews
Album Description
Repetition, stasis, and form; an expression of sound as a textural, meta-aural experience. "Dispelling the Analog Myth" is a crafty combination of electronic and analog source material, subtle and emotive, god hiding in shadows. The album draws connections between modern avant-garde composers such as Reich, Marshall, Eno, and contemporary electronic musicians such as Coil and Low.

What is the dividing line between sound and music? At what point does sound beome musical? If you have ever questioned these concepts you must listen to dispelling the analog myth. Aside from these philosphical interests, this album also has a zen-like intensity and hidden power. I love to wake up to this cd - to me it speaks of energized, invigorating peace.

4 out of 5 stars winter landscape.......2002-02-05

I listened to this CD while driving into a snowstorm in Upstate New York. I thought of Vikings travelling through the snow, of black trees creating lace against a white sky and I thought of a heart beating behind the lips of a first kiss. This music paints a deep and intense longing. It is incredibly tasteful and very beautiful.
