A new Seattle band that plays psychedelic alternative rock and roll. They are internationally popular through free giveaways of their MP3 formatted music. This is their first national public offering. Many in the industry predict Ashcan School could be the first band to go gold without a record label supporting them.     I am the son of the guitarist, Dan Wuthrich. of course, i like the band... but i still think it s one of my favorite bands. Ashcan school broke up a while ago, so this is your last chance to get this album... their running out!

    I recommend this band if you like psychedelic music. Kind of like Jane's Addiction mixed with a little Jefferson Airplane and the Doors. Potential buyers should be aware that the best songs on the album are available for free at mp3.com.

    These people rock! Whilst other reviews have said their music is outdated, I'd describe it more as 'timeless'. The lyrics, harmonies, and guitar are all superb, with cheerful uplifting tracks to counter the more melancholy tunes. Roll on the next album!

    Okay, I'll admit it. After one listen I didn't much like this record. But like all great records it grew on me. I just needed to give it a chance. It truly is catchy and original, and the guitar player RAWKS! Bottom line: BUY THIS RECORD!

    Saw you at the OK Hotel and having seen Nirvana in the same club about 10 years ago I haven't enjoyed music this much in a while. The Fighting Machinists were great too. I bought your CD at tower records a few months ago. I listen to it more than anything else in my collection, I love the guitar, the lyrics and the vocals. You guys have restored my faith in rock and roll. I especially like the songs Take a Ride, Leaving to Come Home, a Friend and World with No Sun. Take a ride live was awesome. Can't wait for the next show!
