i havent seen it but the hip hop included makes me want to watch it..........2006-05-27
this seems like an old movie but i seen the hip hop song tracks provided in the other reviews and it makes me want to watch it! Ma Dukes by O.C. is right now my favorite song(along with 7 other songs from word...life) things done changed is classic from biggie, i used the beat from that rakim song to create a bigl/pac/biggie blend, atcq is a legendary group and so on..
Misleading.......2005-08-24
The contents of this CD is NOT what is actually played in the movie.
dont expect the songs from the movie.......2005-05-13

soundtrack??????.......2003-08-22
what a waste of money, it seems i was duped like a few other reviewers into buying this soundtrack thinking it had the songs from the movie, instead its the same background music track remixed 25 different times. very dissapointing!!

Customer Reviews:
A solid album from a great band.......2004-11-08
Man, I'm glad I grew up on the east coast. Being out in LA, I would have never heard of Boiler Room. When I first heard them, it was on a college station. They were a local band called who used to be called Bible Black (I've always known them as Boiler Room). I actually have the album they released independently before this one (which by the way has that song "Low Society" that another reviewer had mentioned, and no I would never even think of selling it) and back then they had a darker, heavier sound.
The big problem I had with this album was my first impression. When I first started listening, it sounded like they had abandoned their doomy, down-tuned sound for a newer, more "accessible" sound. It sounded like any other band that's played on the new rock stations. Then, I got through some more of the album and realized that they're trying to pioneer the genre, instead of blending in with it. "Insomnia" is hands down my favorite track, with such a powerful yet simple riff, along with a strong vocal melody and a superb overall feel to the song. "Superficial" is also a strong track and "Patience" is another standout but honestly I can't say anything bad about any of the songs on this cd. It's just sad that the record companies gave up on them so easily and they had to call it quits.
Solid Debut.......2003-09-04
As far as the music goes, there isn't anything to complain about. Like some other reviewers noted, their sound isn't exactly the most original, but the talent the band exudes raises the bar for the genre they are in. And original or not, you just can't help but enjoy it. There is definitely some love and enthusiasm put into the songs, and it shows in the way these guys play.
Some highlights are the radio hit "Do It Again" and, my personal favorite on the album, the title track "Can't Breathe".
I really wish I could give this album 3.5 stars instead only because there isn't a lot of lyrical depth. We've all read bad poetry, and there are some lines that make you cringe when you hear them - a few of the rapped lines on "Can I Live?" for instance. And again, it is a great CD, but nothing terribly groundbreaking. It's too bad they broke up, since I think further CDs would have revealed some amazing stuff as they matured musically.
All in all, a very solid debut. If you're in the mood for some new music you can rock out to and you can't figure out what to get, I'd definitely recommend giving these guys a try.
My new favorite CD... only one bad thing.......2002-01-27
Okay, this album kicks major .... It is great from track 1 to track 12. Now, as my title thing says, only one bad thing. They are no longer a band as of early December. :(
Boiling.......2001-06-26
Once again Amazon.com introduced this to me, and I think Boiler Room is a great band. This cd just boils with good songs, get it.
Nothing new, but still worth a buy.......2001-03-07
Once I heard that this band sadly broke up, I made sure to get my hands on a copy of "Can't Breahe" before it got too rare. I'm glad I bumpedit up on my priority list, because it really actually is a pretty good album. Nothing at all groundbreaking, it's just a nice hard rock album that doesn't try to do anything more than just rock, whch is refreshing sometmes. Nothing special, just straight up rock.

Album Description
"Mark Schatz plays the claw-hammer style of banjo, which pre-dates the dominant Scruggs-style picking associated with bluegrass. Schatz's interests and experience, however, which include jazz and new acoustic music, lend his composing a range and depth that allows him to meld the old and the new in a completely natural, and unique, manner." --David Royko, Chicago Tribune
Steppin' in the Boiler House, Mark's second solo album, features his own traditionally innovative sound: flawless clawhammer banjo playing, new melodies with the heart and soul of the old tunes, and a groove that blends the grit and swing of an old time string band with the drive and precision of contemporary bluegrass. The core of the band is Schatz, Casey Driessen, Jim Hurst, and Missy Raines, and special guests include Jerry Douglas, Stuart Duncan, Tim O'Brien, and co-producer, Bela Fleck.

Another great trip down the MFU memory lane.......2005-10-19
Volume 2 (comprised of 2 CDs) is another first rate compilation of the series' original music and not to be missed by U.N.C.L.E. fans. The liner notes are wonderful and add a lot to ones appreciation of the music.
My only problem is that THE CDs ARE COPY PROTECTED! Considerable work is needed to get the music onto your iPod, if you really want the music in your mp3 collection. This is a major hassle and a surprise, since the first set in the series was not copy protected.
The best of the three Double CDs ORIGINAL soundtrack release.......2005-07-12
Many of us have always thought The Man From UNCLE had the best music for a TV series ever, and this three double CD release confirms this. Wow! I'd be just happy with one CD, but having SIX (three double CDs packages) is absolutely out of this world, I mean, a lifetime wait come true.
Indeed, this is an unbelievable collection of three double CDs packages with the complete series soundtrack, and I mean the complete music, not a tune is missing.
And this is the ORIGINAL Man From Uncle music. Let me stress the point: this is the four years ORIGINAL soundtrack with the original recordings as they were heard throughout the series, not a no-name orchestra doing personal versions of the stuff. The audio transfer is very, very good, the music from late episodes is even in stereo.
Each individual CD carries over 70 minutes of music. All in all there you have the four TV seasons main titles and all, absolutely all of TMFU unforgetable music.
This is not a chronological release, meaning, all CDs have a mix of music from all four TV seasons. Volume 1 is heavier on early TV seasons stuff, fans of Jerry Goldsmith will love it. Those of us who prefer what Gerald Fried and later Richard Shores did with TMFU music, then volume 2 is mandatory. If you are a fan, you can't miss any of these six CDs. However if buying all three double packages is too much for you, you must go with Volume 2, no questions asked. Volume three is the weakest of them as it brings "suites" and a whole CD with "The Girl From Uncle" soundtrack, but you have a bonus "Open Channel D" beeper.
Each package is gorgeous, each with a glossy color booklet with extensive liner notes with details on how each tune was written to a specific TV series episode and how it was used onwards. You have bios on the composers, on how the recordings were made, even an overview on how many instruments were available in each of the years the music was recorded.
So, throw away your Hugo Montenegro Man From Uncle CD, this is the REAL thing.

Product Description
What a coup it is to have this significant live performance from 2003 performed by the music department at Curtis Institute where Ned Rorem first studied in the 1940s and has been a faculty member for over 20 years! As a major addition to the opera, we have a new work, Aftermath, where Rorem, as have so many other composers over the past four years, responds to the tragic events of September 11, 2001. As Rorem writes, In the wake of the September 11th shock, I asked what a thousand other composers must have asked: what is the point of music now? But it soon grew clear that music was the only point. Indeed, the future will judge us, as it always judges the past, by our art more than our armies- by construction more than by destruction. The art, no matter its theme or language, by definition reflects the time: a waltz in a moment of tragedy, or a dirge during prosperity, may come into focus only a century later
As a Quaker, I was raised to believe that there is no alternative to peace. Perhaps its wrong, perhaps right, but I am not ashamed of this belief
Rorem, born in 1923, is one of our great lyrical composers, described by Time magazine as the worlds greatest composer of songs. His output encompasses far more than that, of course: three symphonies, four piano concertos, chamber music, other works for orchestra, all of which display a wealth of melody and a distinctive, unique instrumental sound (listen some time to the Symphony No.2, whose brief second movement is essentially an instrumental song). Rorems prowess as a vocal writer (and author of 14 books) lead him, naturally, to this adaptation of the classic play by August Strindberg, presented here in a remarkable, vivid performance and recording.

Just Fantastic.......2002-05-12
I never, ever heard of these guys before I read the existing reviews; man were they right! This is a fantastic CD. I can't quite explain it, but I'll try. Hard rock/hardcore, a sometimes funky sound, with a hard edge on the guitar rhythms. Wonderful bass guitar - the bass is just a joy to listen to. Some songs hit me right away, but there is such variety that it took me about six listens for the whole experience to sink in, but I promise, this is great. It will get under your skin. The guitar just flows, there's no real lead guitar here, but the rhythms are great. This Cd just absolutely rocks, I'm listening to it while I'm typing this review and I'm about to fall out of my chair. Buy it , you will not be disappointed!! I gotta go, these riffs are killing me. You will buy many CDs much worse than this one, much worse, lordy this is a great CD and I'm jumpin to my feet right now cause it ain't a sittin down thing. So let's get busy!!!
Something refreshingly different.......2000-10-26
It's nice to listen to an album that isn't laced with pointless rap vocals about nothing. This album is good, straight-up rock metal. This 3-piece belts out great songs that don't buy into the mainstream crap that floods radio stations today. The live show is killer, and the album well represents it. Anyone who knows anything about music should pick this one up.
Still Under The Skin..................1999-02-19
Close to a year after their initial release Boiler has captured more of the world with the power of "The New Professionals".
The power of the music, yes we can talk about that. Now we can, they deliver the goods. There is no Flash in the Pan identity about this band. They continue to capture the essence of delicious music of years past with an absolute razors edge cutting through dogmatic ideals of the "old school sound". If you want a CD that breathes heavy grooves, this is your home, if you yearn and feel original, music moving, music living and alive...
Boiler is Your Band
Boiler- Fun to Be Loud.......1998-10-31
Ah Boiler- No Candy Coated Goofpop here kids. The music is a mix of good old fashioned kick in the pants NY Hardcore (MOD, Pro Pain) and a spark of grooviness (Korn, Helmet).
The music is anything but easy listening, it is hard hitting and direct. It takes one on a journey through a broad spanse of the audio spectrum, believe you me they have smoked some good PA's too.
They give a classic NY City sound a new life. It is a fresh voice in a world that forgot what being loud with musicality was.
The CD Builds with every track, "Superseed", churns the waters with a sonic earthquake like urgency. That is by far my favorite song on the CD. Second in Line is "Roswall", another churning sonic assault.
They did not give me enough space to rant enough about this CD. It rocks. Get a copy for the car and in rush hour traffic put the volume knob in the gas tank, You will not be denied a spot at any tollbooth!

Customer Reviews:
Glad they made this a video. Sick of their rap........2002-06-03
This is the best song off Limp Bizkit's CSATHDFW. I don't own this exact single CD, but I have CSATHDFW, which features this, and I've seen the video. (Very impressive.) I have the P. Diddy song off New Old Songs (BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG DISAPPOINTMENT) and I have all the other stuff. Well, this is the only song off CSATHDFW (besides "Take A Look Around"), so don't support Limp's new junk and buy the CD and give 'em even more money. Just burn this sonh and buy their first 2 albums.
The best yet.......2001-11-13
Well Done Limp Bizkit, for a spectacular and brilliant song, wonderful bass and great drumming. This is undoubtabliy the best Limp song yet.I shall be listening to this for hours hopefully years, and all round excellent song. Also a good video, which is definitely worth checking out. With remixes of "My Way" from P.Diddy, an alround great single.
