His obvious bias against Houston ska renders him worthless as a reviewer... ignore everything he says (especially the part about the resistors - they stunk)!

This CD is a compilation of 9 ska bands from Texas doing 2 songs each. Fixed Idea is a bilingual ska band from El Paso who is pretty cool. The Resistors and are very cool Reel Big Fish-Like-But-Much-Better band from San Antonio. I can't stand the Suspects, who are from Houston. Spies Like Us, from San Antonio, are my favorite band on this compilation. Los Skarnales are a Mexican ska/jazz/etc. band located in Houston, who I don't care for. The Impossibles are my second fav. band on this disc. They are from Austin and are probably the best known band on this CD. Secret Agent 8 is another same-old band from Houston. Slaphappy are a cool band from Houston. The Mint Flames, who close this disc, rule. Buy this CD.
