Light in the Aisles [Explicit Lyrics]

Editorial Reviews
John Bream, Minneapolis Star Tribune 8/24/01
"a brilliant little diamond in the rough...Think Vic Chesnutt meets Tom Waits in a series of New York apartments."

(Critic's Pick)- Time Out New York, 7/11/01
"...radiates a kind of sober hope and dreaminess through Griffin's delicately added electronic flourishes."

Album Description
Haunted narratives wrapped in walkman tape loops, spaghetti guitars, crooked beats and wheezing keyboards. Sharply observed lyrics and an intimate voice pierce through the dusky atmospherics, old world melodies and homespun electronics. Call it "porch techno".

This is a great find. I saw T. Griffin at Pete's Candy Store in Brooklyn, which was a perfect place for his music. Intimate little diddies that stick with you for days. "Idaho" and "god's getting tired of you" are standouts, but it's best to just play this one all the way through... great roadtrip companion!
