About the Artist
bmd is the creation of marc b, a New York City musician and artist. Having recording and arranging music for the past few years he as decided to relese this first CD of electronicia/trance in the Spring of 2001. This comes after 12 years as a graphic and braodcast designer for varied firms in NY. With his artistic and musical skills he continues to press on ahead in creating new music and sounds, embracing new mediums for usage experimentation.

      This is overall a good album! Don't listen what other people are saying about this album! They don't know good music even when they hear it! Kaoru is a beautiful, smart, talented singer who deserves alot of recognition along with her bandmates! Keep on creating great music like this Electrostatic!

      The last remix reminded me of my first experience with Yamaha DX-7's. Fabulous mixes and driving beats, can't be topped. You must purchase this album today.

      I just found out today that Electrostatic were even heard of, but I've kept up with their music itself for a long time. I've been hoping for something fresh from them because I think they are wasting their potential just churning out tracks in the same Electrostatic format. That aside, I still like their stuff and if it's a choice between Awake Alone and Britney Speares then Electrostatic wins. Good electronic music, but if you're expecting something brand new and exciting from the group, I have to let you down. I'm certainly glad to have it in my collection but it doesn't score as high as it could have.

      WELL. How about same old hackneyed [stuff?] Why does anyone consider this NEW or futuristic? The critx simply love it. If you love music though this will be a tremendous let down. Same dead sound you've heard all round. Aphex Twin or MEGA X BRAND I can understand but regardless of what soundtrack they were on or the hype some corps put out, the musick of the above assuredly sounds STATIC.

          5 out of 5 stars Excellent Confusing Buy.......2005-05-20

          This is an excellent obscure funk collection. However, unlike it's equally excellent predecessor, the track listing is nonsense. I can only think that there was a mix up at this very small label and perhaps they printed a projected track listing for volume three or changed the selection at the last minute without retrofitting the sleeve. I haven't a clue what 70% of these tracks are or who the artists are. Which is thrilling and impressive considering I own a fairly stoopid amount of rare funk. I do know, after puzzling for an intense length of time, that the track listing is jacked. And my guess is it's jacked completely. So it's a wholeheartedly recommended musical journey... just brace yourself for a little annotational frustration, which isn't uncommon to some of the dodgier rare funk comps (unlicensed tracks, no original release info, etc.) on labels that die as fast as they're born. Its just usually not on this scale.
