About the Artist
Dave Schwinn (ex-Bulbous, ex-Snowblind, current Neato Torpedo) was dabbling in electronics back when American teens were discovering hardcore punk. Previously unreleased, his works (often collaborations including Dave True and Andy Hissett) were collected under the moniker 2 Minute Hate and hidden in the closet until the twenty first century.
Album Description
Before computers became the preferred tool of electronic musicians, Dave Schwinn, mastermind of 2 Minute Hate, was already rack-mounting an Atari computer in an ugly metal box. An early pioneer of ambient industrial music, his works were not widely heard except for some soundtrack work. A New Ozone Hole was the first 2MH release, cassette only, way back in the day. Newly remastered, it is startlingly original and still exceeds the electronic experimental music being made today.
