About the Artist
Mark White.......Composer, Guitarist with LastTrip B.M., and M.M., New England Conservatory. Mark White has performed with the Boston Pops under Keith Lockhart, Boston Musica Viva under Richard Pitman, the New England Ragtime Ensemble under Gunther Schuller, the Empire Brass Quintet, George Russell, Gil Evans, Anthony Braxton, the Kenny Hadley Big Band, numerous theatre engagements with the touring broadway companies including: City of Angels; Fiddler on the Roof; and A Chorus Line, among others, world premier and ensuing 50 performances of "The Fall of the House of Usher" by Phillip Glass. Festival performances include the Nuit Bleu and Nuit Black festivals in Quebec, Canada; the Mare de Agosto Festival, Portugal; the Umbria Jazz Festival, Perugia, Italy; Settembre Musicale Festival, Torino, Italy; the San Juan Heineken Festival, Puerto Rico; the Seoul Jazz Festival, Seoul, Korea; the Tokyo Music Joy Festival, Tokyo, Japan; the Jazz Jamboree, Warsaw, Poland; Kool Jazz festivals in Saratoga, New York, San Diego, California, and Houston, Texas.

Mark has performed clinics for Berklee College of Music in: Equador, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Germany, Costa Rica, and Los Angeles. White has toured the continental United States extensively, as well as in Russia and Austria, and has acted as a musical ambassador for the USIA in Bogata, Columbia directing the Taller Jazz Nationale Jazz Workshop on two occasions. He is currently an Associate Professor of guitar at Berklee College of Music in Boston. White has released an album "Tunch" on the MMC label, and has recently released a CD with the group Last Trip entitled “Up with da Funk” on Grescotmar ltd. He is a B.M.I.
