Lovecraft Technologies [Explicit Lyrics]

Editorial Reviews
About the Artist
The epoch-making work known as LOVECRAFT TECHNOLOGIES is the magnum opus of Prince Charming and Philosophy Major.

PRINCE CHARMING, who has collaborated with Brooklyn's Wordsound Posse, the infamous L.A. Shapeshifters, the Gothic Supergroup EXP, and a variety of Detroit Punk and Hardcore acts, graduated from the NYU Tisch film school. His own work is a synthesis of all these various projects, injected with his own brand of eroto-sensual poetics.

PHILOSOPHY MAJOR, who has collaborated with Grunge instigator Megan Jasper and the all-girl cello ensemble, Rasputina, graduated from Hampshire college where he studied improvisation with Jazz legend Yusef Lateef. Prior to recording with Prince Charming, he had toured the country in his station wagon providing various medical services for the devoted fans of Phish and the Greatful Dead.

Album Description
"Speaking from my own experiences, I have burned by these invisible forces of sexual Pandemonium. I have been whipped and cut; these spirits have gouged marks and symbols on my body, rolled down my stockings and embarrassed me with the feeling of my legs, naked and free beneath my silk slip. I've been thrown around the room like a toy...Physicalized monstrosities have manifested before me, threatened death, ruin of my family, and afterlife torment...I, alone among the beautiful sub-tropical hyperborean caterpillar demons in their red Moroccan leather boots, freshly bathed, moaning, my hands joined in an attitude of prayer by means of golden bracelets, swaying back and forth along the wall at the end of my chain. These are not the recollections of isolated incidents that happened under questionable circumstances, a long time ago. I'm talking about what's going on right now."

5 out of 5 stars THE ONLY LOVECRAFT TECHNOLOGIES CD.......2006-02-22

This CD has the dubious destinction of being the only LOVECRAFT TECHNOLOGIES CD. Do not be fooled by cheap knock offs, designer imposters, or pretenders.

BTW, I stopped working with Philosophy Major (aka music critic Denis Desharnais) in early 2002. I have nothing to do with that dude whatsoever.

5 out of 5 stars If god drops acid...does he see people?.......2001-10-04

I am an artist/dj in seattle and "My name is
Howard Smith" ends up on every mix I make..I
appreciate the breadth and scope of the CD as well
as the inventiveness. Each song is distinct."gimme
drugs" sounds kinda like White Zombie in an ether
binge. I also like "meet again." OveraLL i CONSIDER THIS
DISC TO BE ONE OF MY BEST SCORES IN A WHILE.....oops
cap lock....

I would equate Lovecraft Technologies with the
likes of Coil and the Butthole Surfers...which from
this camp is a compliment.

4 out of 5 stars THE BIG BAMBOO!!.......2001-08-18

This CD changes up so fast, you'll get whiplash! funny but a little freaky. But seriously...I really liked these songs alot. Some of them could be pop hits, and some are crazy dark, but they all work. There's even a kind of schitzo logic to the way everything jumps around. I think my favorite is the lunar megamix. I heard it on the radio and I was almost in tears I was laughing so hard!! This is a definitely worth buying. Just be brave!!
