Editorial Reviews Bringing in a wide array of friends to help him flesh out the tracks, James named the band Left Orbit Temple, and the CD Prolusion. The CD was released on Tydirium Multimedia's records division, and is available for sale on their web site. He also decided that he wanted the CD to be something truly special and unique, so he decided to include a CD-Enhanced section which would feature the work of nine artists working in virtually all imaginable media. In this way, the project became more of an arts magazine on a disc with James giving equal weight and promotion to the visual artists as he did to his own music. Wrangling nine artists and some fifteen musicians, JamTen new songs by es has begun to think of himself as the director of Left Orbit Temple, more than a band leader or composer. Future CD releases will include new combinations of artists - both musical and visual - making each LOT release a mutating collaboration.
About the Artist
Left Orbit Temple was founded in 1997 by James Teitelbaum, who had previously played synth/sampler in bands like Pigface, Evil Clowns, and Flat Earth Society, and who had (among other things) also worked on Ministrys tech crew, and as an engineer for Royal Crown Revue. Deciding the time was right to strike out on his own, he began composing a new body of songs, which is something he had done quite a lot of in prior years, but had stopped doing for a long time in the early-mid 1990s.

Prolusion is the precursor to greatness.......2004-03-24
Left Orbit Temple is working on an ongoing series of Enhanced CDs. The visual artists' work and other multimedia content can be found on the CD-ROM half of the discs, the music portion of the project is on the audio CD half.
Artists and musicians are selected for inclusion by Left Orbit Temple founder James Teitelbaum.
The musical tracks (collaborative efforts between all of the musicians involved), are largely improvised under the guidance of James Teitelbaum (with the assistance of A. Sam Pleur). Improvisations are later edited and remixed into more cohisive form.
The current Left Orbit Temple disc is called "Prolusion" and was released as a pilot project to generate interest in LOT and to draw more artists and musicians into the project.
The second release is currently in production.
Artists and musicians featured on Prolusion include: Derek Geisser, Erin Mosher, Charles Levi, Ron Roesing, Pete Farrugia, Alison Chesley, Eric Pounder, Gabriel Nuzzoli, Thomas Neidhardt, Paul Alodi, Steve Dorocke, David Carter, Rene J. Cigler, Shane Swank, Anna Simone Levin, James Woodruff, E. Gabriel Edvy, Theresa Witek, Matt Busch, and Misha.
Themes explored in both the art and music include dreams and the subconcious, modern primitivism, and the exotic.
Left Orbit Temple's creators think of the project as an experimental arts magazine distributed on a disc. This format allows the inclusion of music and video selections along with still images and text.
Left Orbit Temple release one of the best debut CD's ever!.......2001-03-14
