Discovery Communications, the company behind Discovery Kids and The Learning Channel, is prepared to stop producing any new "Hi-5" TV episodes. Instead, it seems that Discovery will continue to re-run the same episodes of "Hi-5," over and over again, for now and the foreseeable future. Hi-5 fans have been watching these same shows for up to 4 years, when the first "Hi-5" episodes debuted on American TV in 2003, and, frankly... we're tired of it!

It is urgent that we let Discovery and Kids Like Us (KLU), Hi-5's producers, know that we do NOT support their decision to stop producing new "Hi-5" episodes. Time is of the essence because if no new episodes are produced soon, there will be no reason for Discovery to keep our talented cast, Curtis, Jenn, Kimee, and newest members Sydney and Yasmeen. That's right -- there will be no more Hi-5 for TV, tours, appearances, charitable work, or anything else!

Information We Need to Emphasize to Discovery and KLU
*Hi-5 merchandise is currently one of the "Top 10 Brands" at Ty's Toy Box, a key internet retailer;
*The current "Hi-5 Live" tour has been filling up arenas across Canada and the U.S.;
*The $100 VIP packages for the tour have been completely selling out; and
*Hi-5 fans across Latin America are now eagerly requesting that Hi-5 will come to tour in their countries, too.

Hi-5 fans must let Discovery recognize that they will lose this entire revenue stream, as well as our support, patience, and goodwill, if they do not make new episodes to be televised within the next year.
We also need to let Discovery realize that the current 70 episodes, which are shown on 3-month cycles on TV, aren't enough to satisfy Hi-5's unique audience. Hi-5 fans include children, parents, teens, and young adults -- how many other TV shows can deliver that kind of fanbase? Hi-5 is a unique product and does not fit into the mold of a typical children's TV show, and we need to let Discovery know that before it's too late!

It was incredible to see my 2 year-old son jumping and singing with the music of this television band. He remembers the moves and part of the lyrics so every time I play this CD I can see a great smile in his face.
I really recommend this CD for your kids. You won't regret it.

My [...] daughter's favorite show is Hi-5, so I thought I would get this CD for when she's in my car. It's the best money I've ever spent on a CD! After I strap her in her car seat, I'll get in the front seat and she immediately says "uh-Hi" (her version of Hi-5). It's so cute that the other day I brought the video camera in the car to record her saying it and the booming smile that comes on her face when the 1st song (the Hi-5 theme) starts. I also recorded her when the song "Robot #1" starts, as she always says "robot". Since I enjoy the music as well, it's a win-win situation! After, the Hi-5 theme, there are 9 "song of the week" selections followed by several songlets from some of their skits. It's been such a big hit that I'm online today ordering a copy for my wife's car!

    4 out of 5 stars Great Swinging Party CD.......2005-11-28

    Brian Setzer's interpretation of these standards is great. His rockabilly-infused big band sound breathes new life into some songs that have never been my personal favorites. However, while I do not doubt his artistry and vision, I do wish he'd revive a few standards that are not quite as obscure. Still, this a great effort.

    I bought this cd because of a review I read saying this is modern swing - no way is this swing - it's bill haley/elvis sound-a-like modern rock 'n' roll - if that floats your boat you will love this. I hate it because his voice is really scratchy and he is a limited guitar player - he has the standard bag of rock riffs but no way does he have the ability to play swing guitar.
    So, beware reviews, and thank you but I'll stick with my swing : Squirrel nut zippers and Cherry Poppin Daddies

    The Brian Setzer Orchestra has done it again and again and again!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I got "The Dirty Boogie" CD, it's like a dirty boogie showdown for the one hell of a night you won't forget. A outstanding, tremendous, amazing "SuperHigh Octane" CD like never ever forget.

    This is my first Brian Setzer album, but I've been a fan of his since his Stray Cat days. I have to say it's well worth it. You can't help but tap your toes or dance in your chair when listening to this album...it's ON!

    Love Setzer. I had bought some of the cassettes used to compile this "Best of". Wore them out.

    This CD is PACKED!! You definately get your money's worth. All of my favorites on one CD. It seems like it goes for ever. 23 songs on one CD.

      Low down dirty R&B, Blues and Jazz songs about illegal substances. This comp shows musicians way before the sixties were singing about their favorite candy. "Save the Roach for me" is a great song sang to comical effect with a rollicking piano, then you got Louis Jordan with "Junco Partner" a song with a calypso flavor, and the great Cab Calloway doing the drug dealer songer called "Man from Harlem. This comp is a must for people who collect strange old music.

      The Soul Brothers had been producing hits in South Africa for twenty years before they brought out this album, and this shows in the measured composure of their sound. Their compositions are based on an infectious formula which they tend to stick to, but that doesn't take anything away from the appeal of the album. What stands out is the original use of the Hammond organ by Moses Ngwenya, and perhaps one of the mellowist horn sections on the continent (Thomas Phale & Javas Magubane). Mix these with a driving bass and rippling guitar lines to underpin the harmonious vocals and its easy to see why they're such an enduring favourite in the townships. Check out AMAPHUTHA (track 5), to sample the exquisite poise of this soulful group. And don't forget to heed the lyrics of UTSHWALA (TRACK 8):"Stop getting drunk because you mess around with other people's wives and get into trouble". Solid advice; solid music...

        Well now this is one of the best CD's in my collection of over 1,500 CD's. Is it better than Pet Sounds? Sgt Pepper? Herman's Hermits best? well er ...no but this is a great CD.
        Buy it now!
        Better yet buy all his product and see him live as he is really the hardest working man in show business. Look up Jim Green and the Deligates as they are in this class also...

        I happened to hear this band on the radio and--since it was sold out at Tower-- bought their CD online. What a treat! I am a serious fan of jazz, blues and R&B music from the 30's through the 60's (even though I find those categories misleading and constraining). What I have heard from other so-called "neo-swing" bands has left me unimpressed, to put it mildly. What I hear in Ron Sunshine and Full Swing's music is a true appreciation and knowledge of the history of American music, and the skill (musicianship, songwriting, and actual SINGING) to bring this all across to the listener. This CD has not left my CD player since I bought it, and I plan to buy a second copy for my car. The original songs sparkle with intelligence, and seduce you with warmth and graceful energy. The covers are respectfully done, without a hint of the cheesily ironic tone that distinguishes most of the other contemporary "swing" acts. And, (hello!) the man can actually sing. Buy this CD. You won't be sorry. I hear they are touring. If they come to LA, you can bet I will be there.

        Really top CD. Lost of obscure tracks that are really danceable. BPM are included for every track. Buy Jiving Jamboree first but buy this second.
