5 out of 5 stars A review from a friend, it's still OK to read this though..........2001-01-27

I'll start by letting you know I am in fact a friend of the bands, and
I have been a fan since I first heard them. However don't totally
disregard this review. I believe that I am true lover of music, as I
have heard many of my friends start bands, and... well... The
Retrospects make me imagine what the Cardigans, Ben Folds (with
William Shatner?), and Tahiti 80 (if you haven't heard these guys you
should) would do if they were locked in a room with nothing but
instruments for a few days. Their genre, a pop-rock variant, or
collaboration of sorts.

Catch Me - 21st Century lyrics, yes, you can
relate. This song is radio friendly, happy, and you will be singing
it in your car, or while you are washing dishes, or... whatever...
The bass thingy at the end must be the abyss you might very well fall
in if someone doesn't catch you. Better buy the album.

If Only -
So if you want to here the Josh Ballard voice, this is the song to
figure it out on. Probably the bands most unique sound, reins supreme
on this song. The harmonies (overdubbed?) only bring out the colors,
and don't take away. Maybe you won't be singing, probably tapping
your foot (hopefully not if you are driving). The ending of this song
definitely gives me an "Autumns" feel (one of Dan's favorite
bands).

Come Around - So they don't always come back around, but
you'll like the song. The least "poppy" song on the album
show the bands versatility.

The greatest downfall of this album is
that after three tracks you want more... Well you can help this band
release more by buying this album and telling your friends about it.
I know you'll love it, give them a try.

5 out of 5 stars IF ONLY this album were longer...........2001-01-11

A cross between Ben Folds Five, Michael W. Smith, with a hint of The Cranberries guitar style. You'll catch yourself humming these tunes long after the music stops!

5 out of 5 stars A Rock Star's Demo.......2000-11-11

I've heard these guys live many times, and am so glad to finally have a demo of theirs to listen to whenever I want! The second song "If Only" is by far the best, and will hopefully get awesome radio play soon. I can't for these guys to record a full-length album and start touring. This band will turn heads, so people need to start paying attention to them now!

5 out of 5 stars Refreshing new sound........2000-11-04

This is one great band! I've enjoyed their live performances and think this demo album is awesome. Looking forward to full length work!

5 out of 5 stars A Perfect Sound.......2000-10-25

This album is amazing! I heard about these guys and picked up a copy. All three tracks are great! "If only" has a unique touch of modern rock and catchy radio sound. "Catch me" is also just as good and in my opinion is possibly the best on the album! The last song,"Come Around" is awesome too! This album is a must buy for anyone who loves good alternative rock, and I can't wait to see these guys come and play live!
