Album Description
The 100th Monkey's first full length release, Looking At My World, features twelve tracks of solid Northwest hip-hop flavored with a slice of old school soul. The album accurately captures the band's live sound and energy featuring the social and politically charged lyrics of MC Dave Devereaux accented by the powerful vocal stylings of Miss Loretta. This creative and effective mixing of influences makes Looking At My World one of the most compelling hip-hop albums coming out of the Northwest this year. Looking At My World was produced by legendary Seattle producer Jack Endino(Nirvana, Soundgarden, Murder City Devils) whose musical style gives it a raw sound that really captures the live energy and sound of the band. The album features performances by other Seattle artists including MC Wheelie(Optimus Rhyme) and Kimo(Nu Sol Tribe) on saxophone and vocals.

Dave the Dopeman.......2003-02-23
I like how my mind is "fed" psychologically. Not hard to understand or comprehend. Makes you want to hear more; leaves the audience wanting more. Good marketing ploy; a bit personal. Overall, I would purchase it.

Customer Reviews:
Engaging!.......2006-01-25
From beginning to end it felt like a Quest was engaged all the whilst being protected by an audio womb of sorts. Literally sat speechless like a deer in headlamps listening to this one. Horrid sweet pix on this artist's site too: sparemefelix.com
The Filtration is truely unique!.......2001-01-11
The layers of complexity and filtration facilitate a unbelievele matrix of unique and deepley felt emotions and moods. The spectrum of tones and rythms is as wide as the grand canyon. To truley soak in the 100th monkey was a huge emotional undertaking, and can be at time exhuasting and taxing. But the pay off is unprecedented, once you enter the realm of the author and peal back the mastery of its meaning, it will for ever change your perspective on the human capacity to handle huge emotive swings in a quick rapid fire unidealistic world. The 100th monkey is a life changer, but heed this warning, once you enter the Authors complex and difficult matrix you will have your eyes opened to the truth for ever, sometimes its just better not to know. The 100th monkey is a celebration of mankinds undaunting will to surive and flurish. Kudos to the Author.

The Future of Music.......2000-12-22
The 100th Monkey is one of the best albums I've heard in a while. SMF's music is provocative and inspiring. I'm kind of reminded of the music of Prince, who was also (and still is) ahead of his time. This is a must have for any aficionado of music.
Speechless...Well almost..........2000-11-26
What words can be used to describe Spare Me Felix/The 100th Monkey? Provocative, Sensual, Haunting, Sexy to name a few. The music is unique, fresh, and not like anything I have ever heard. If you are tired of listening to the same old stuff and remakes, get SMF. Try something new. I have a feeling that there will be more to come from this very talented artist.
