This album is both a surprise and a gem. Deanna is a cofounder of GoodInk records, home of Carrie Akre and Blue Spark. She also plays a sometimes haunting, sometimes fun, acoustic guitar and she has a strong, beautiful voice. I think her music is a blend of pop-rock (the good kind), folk with a sort of country sound. She is backed up by musicians that only add to her sound and make creative landscapes for her voice. My favorite song is "Taxi", a story of a relationship gone wrong. Deanna's words are so sincere and hearing her record makes you feel like you are talking to an old friend. ~Laura
