Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Stick A Fork In It.......2005-02-19

I have been listening to Jengurl for years - I never tire of her style and sound. She is an amazing song writer and singer. I also highly recommend (also by Jengurl): 1) And One Snootyfish, CD, 2001, Penguinville Records 2) Jennifer Schossow aka Jengurl, EP, 1998, Penguinville Records

5 out of 5 stars good indy music.......2003-04-30

As she will tell you on her website, Jengurl can sing better than your sister. Jengurl first got real national attention (such as it was) when she played 25 dates on the Lilith Fair tour, exposing her to a wider audience. She later gained many listeners on a free (and legal) MP3 website when she became the #2 most requested artist at the time. I downloaded (legally) some of her songs and liked what I heard. She has a good sound, though it may not exactly be radio friendly. Jengurl is worth checking out, and if you like what you hear, buy the album. Support independent musicians. They are just as good (if not better) than so much of the pre-packages junk we hear on the radio today

5 out of 5 stars Great album...........2002-03-23

I saw her on Lilith Fair and thought she was great... I think this album came out just after that, but I'm not sure. In any case, I highly recommend it! A little folky, a little alternative, a little Texas... very cool songs and a great voice... can't wait for more.
