Product Description
Boston-based artist Eilen Jewell puts her own beautiful stamp on old country, folk and blues and comes out sounding like the time-traveling, sweet-voiced lovechild of Bessie Smith, Gillian Welch, and The Be Good Tanyas. Her thick, warm voice and authentic country songwriting have led the Boston Herald to name her Bostons Americana gem. Boundary County, inspired in part by her home state of Idaho, is Eilen's first full-length studio album. Recorded at Middleville Studio in North Reading, Massachusetts by Chris Rival in December, 2005, Boundary County features thirteen original compositions woven together with threads of loneliness, homesickness, regret, sinning, traveling, dreaming, hope, and redemption.

New Boston star.......2006-08-11
A very laid back Album, very easy on the ear, definately a star in the making.
Very dificult to package a little bit folky and a little bit country roots/americana, very bare sound just a lot of voice, and little bit of guitar and drums very nice indeed especially later in the day after a bad day at work, relaxing music for adults.

Good Stuff.......2007-07-09
This album is incredible. I only wish there were more songs. There's so much talent and feeling on the album, he just needs to put it into more music. Can't wait for his next album to come out. If you don't know the artist, check out his website, he has some samples from the cd and then you'll understand why you have to buy the album.
Perfect piece of music.......2007-07-04
The first time, that I heard a song from The White Buffalo, was in my favorite surfvideo "Shelter". From that time I was searching for more stuff from that guy... but unfortunately unsuccessfully... Some years left, and one day I took a look in my eventcalendar, so I was totally stoked when I saw, that he give a concert in munich... It was fantastic!!! And so is his EP! A voice like earth and velvet combined with diversified and refreshing guitarplay... absolutely recommendable!
But the only negative thing is: It's an EP, that means ONLY SIX SONGS! What a pity...I need much more! :)
love it.......2007-06-19
his voice is incredible, deep and soulful. interesting guitar rhythms.
Beautiful and raw.......2007-05-22
If you appreciate an amazing voice and beautiful songwriting, you must check out this ep. Jake is such a talent that I feel personal duty to spread the good word. This is a jewel and if you take the opportunity to listen, you will feel the same need to share.

Product Description
From the minds of songwriters Greg Barkley and Daniel Hoxmeier comes a catchy post-pop band that loves themselves a tasty melody. Both Greg and Daniel were home schooled through high school and, for lack of anything better to do, learned to play the guitar and any other useful instruments they could get their collective hands on.
Teaming up with Joel Calvin (drums), they formed the band (poor) yorik, an experimental rock band, which after 8 months they decided was a much too depressing style of music. The trio spent a month in deep meditation and self reflection (during which Joel found inner peace), and it was decided that they would from then on be called The Jolly Rogers. However, upon discovery of several pop-punk bands from Nebraska and Florida, and a group that frequents renaissance festivals dressed in pirate garb, the band decided it was time for another name change. They chose Oh No! Oh My!, named for a song by The Robot Ate Me.
In July of 2005, the band began work on a brand new collection of songs after a demo from the year prior was met with a strong response over the internet. Greg and Daniel moved in January 2006 from their Hometown in Austin, TX, to their temporary home in Nashville, TN, to go to an Audio Engineering school for 9 months. Joel soon followed in April, and now the band are set to to release their first full length album on August 1st.
Customer Reviews:
Oh No! Oh YES!.......2007-03-11
No one can not like this album.
Oh No! Oh My! is probably the sweetest three-piece ever, crooning twists of the phrase ranging from "nice day for a drive-by shooting" to "let's ride bikes into the sea". They know how to craft the tricky melody; the make-dancer; that one song that you keep on repeat, twenty-three times in a row.
Trust me, it's a keeper.
One of my favorite albums.......2007-01-09
I absolutely love this CD, can't wait to hear more from them.
Best songs are Walk in the Park, Jane is Fat, and I Have No Sister.
Best indie pop record since the Unicorns.......2006-08-10
Don't let my use of the word 'record' and reference to the Unicorns up there make you think I'm some pretentious indie music snob who wants to protect his beloved gems for all eternity. Oh No! Oh My!'s debut self-titled album deserves praise for every little second (Well, the vast majority of them) and they need to be made aware of. Three young men playing ecclectic instruments and recording in bedrooms may be somewhat common these days, but not many of them get to play Lollapalooza (I'm certain I butchered the spelling) three days after the release of their first LP. Brilliantly blissful melodies are thrown around like love between friends in the form of sound waves, and never have I heard better use of chimes/mallets/glockenspiel. Each song is meticulously crafted instrumentally so that nothing you hear becomes stagnat. Peppy lyrics dominate, which is a wonderful contrast to ... everything that's out there, really. Simplistic songwriting works perfectly, especially in "Walk in the Park" and the same-line-over-and-over-but-still-wonderful "Reeks and Seeks" and "Women Are Born In Love." I cannot even articulate how much I adore these lovely folks, but, I suggest at least giving them a looksee.I highly doubt that many will be disappointed.

great music and sound quality!!!.......2007-05-24
The music is borderline between jazz and easy listening(i don't like the new age notion). Beautiful is all I can say!
Love this CD!.......2007-01-18
This CD is everything I expected and more! I can hear words in his music, it is so heartfelt, expressive and beautiful.
Nice change in music.......2007-01-09
I've heard this artist on our digital cable so bought the entire cd for my son ( a musician) for his birthday, not sure if all the selections would interest him because of the affects. Surprisingly, those were the very ones he liked because of the uniqueness of the the style....so it was a home run.
Best New-age/Jazz CD This Year!.......2006-11-06
Jeff Oster's CD Released climbs the peaks of emotional and musical purity, slipping the listener into moments of serene clarity. Oster's As I Live and Breathe track heralds visions of the perfect summer day. Flowing waves of melodic dual flugelhorns wrap themselves into a musical drama that unfolds into a perfect symmetry of life at its most poignant.
Best new artist and new-age/jazz CD this year!

Behind the Veil insists you wake up the senses of the intense p a s s i o n that burns in every one of us... Big Sur will take you back to that place where you first met that amazing glance...that one scene, with that o n e person,.. in your life that you just n e v e r will forget...

Buyer Beware.......2007-07-23
This IS NOT a Compact Disc as stated. I was shocked to open this big box with a record in it. Do people still have record players? I feel very duped.

Buyers be aware this lp record is a factory missprint. All of the songs are just taken from the Kill'em'all album. I think sellers should specify this!!!!!!

It has received regular airplay on radio programs across the country , including XM Kids (XM Satelite Radio Channel 116) where the song "Kiki Kangaroo" reached the #1 spot on their top ten list. Like the first volume, it dedicates a single song to each letter of the alphabet and covers the letters I through Q. The songs are upbeat, catchy, folk-based tunes about the things that are important to kids and their parents.

Music for the Whole Family.......2005-08-08
One of the best children's CDs I have listened to. The songs have a great beat, the lyrics are wonderfully written and not only do my children love it, my husband and I do to! I listen to it even when my children aren't in the car!

I like it even better than my babies do!.......2005-08-06
My 1 year old twins received this for their birthday and we've been listening to it almost every day since then. The tunes are catchy and the lyrics range from charming to funny. This is an albumn that we'll probably play for years to come.
It's nice when I find something made for kids that doesn't seem to be simplified, either in the music or the lyrics.

My favorite music for Sunday morning..........2000-07-01
This is one of my top desert island CDs. It is incredibly soothing, grounding and quiet -- but strong, too. The music is absolutely mesmerizing, with beautiful music on top of quiet drumming. I love all of Gabrielle Roth's CDs, but this one is my favorite. This is the CD I put in every Sunday morning, early, before the rest of the world wakes up.

Posthumous Recap........2006-03-11
Indeed, 'One Last Time' nicely sums up Grizzard's brand of good ol' boy comedy, collecting here for the first time some previously unheard archive material. Some of it won't be exactly "new", given that varied forms appeared on previous releases; nevertheless, Lewis is in fine form in this collection, while the audience itself is enthusiastic and in good spirits. A minor quibble appears in the guise of a few selfserving tracks ("interruptions" are more accurate) of country legend Bill Anderson, a friend of the late comedian. They serve no real purpose and are, frankly, annoying. Still, this fine collection is a great overall recap of Grizzard's routine.

"Blowin In The Wind" is beautiful.......2003-04-11
The whole CD is really very good, but "Blowin In The Wind" is arranged in a different key and is so haunting and beautiful. My son is in Iraq right now fighting for their liberation, and I was in Vietnam. Bob Dylan's music holds a powerful place in my heart and I just had to get this CD when I saw it. I've listened to it over and over again and I really like it. Although not every song is as good for a quartet as "Blowin In The Wind", they all are worth 5 stars. If I could give this CD 6 stars, I would. If you have never heard Bob Dylan, this CD is still good IMHO.

Product Description
John Mcfee, Huey Lewis, Alex Call, JohnCiambotti, Jeff Porcaro, just to name a few of the talents on this master piece, This CD was originally recorded in 1975 at Sound City studio's in LA &never before released until now. Do you ever wonder what musicians whose work you've come to know were doing before you ever heard of them? Well, here's a chance to find out something about the Doobies' own John McFee, and his former band mate Huey Lewis. Sonic Past Music, a company that specializes in releasing just such products - for example, Richie Sambora's pre-Bon Jovi work, or Randy Meisner's non-Eagles material - has unearthed some "lost" recordings by the group Clover. As some of you may know, John and Huey, as well as "News" keyboard player Sean Hopper, were members of this group. On this set of recordings, you will also hear a young, pre-Toto Jeff Porcaro playing drums on several tracks. Additionally, the group features one Alex Call, who has written songs recorded by Pat Benatar, Huey, and others, including a huge hit for Tommy Tutone - "Jenny/867-5309". The recordings represented here were recorded at the famous Sound City Studios back in the early to mid seventies, with a number of the tracks produced by Keith Olsen - right around the time he produced Fleetwood Mac's huge self-titled breakout album - the one with "Rhiannon", "Over My Head", "Say You Love Me", and so forth. Subsequent to these recordings, Clover went on to release two albums of their own that they recorded in Britain with producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange, and were Elvis Costello's band for his award winning debut album My Aim Is True. Some of us around here may be slightly prejudiced, but there is some cool stuff here - check it out. ANOTHER GREAT CD BY SONIC PAST MUSIC
