About the Artist
D. Saxmo bio:

JIM is an only child, a fact which makes most people think that his parents had one child too many. He does get along extremely well with young children. After all, it's not often that a member of their own peer group has access to an automobile and credit cards. We consider him to be an idiot savant, albeit mainly idiot with occasional dull flashes of genius. Maybe that makes him a savant idiot as opposed to an idiot savant? Jim's presence in the band guarantees a certain level of immaturity which helps define the nature of D. Saxmo. Jim uses a Zippo lighter and drinks domestic beer. He's from Indiana. Jim is really counting on you and all of your friends, and all of their friends, to band together and support his music so that he can change his lifestyle. If this doesn't happen soon he may have to come live with you. Believe me, you really do not want to have Jim live with you. Consider yourself warned.

RANJEET was born in Lucknow, India. Yeah, I never heard of it either. So I looked it up in one of those large atlases. Seems that it is the state capital of Uttar Pradesh, the state up there by Nepal. Lucknow has a larger population than say either Dallas or Houston, or if you are international in scope, it has more people than Stockholm, Dusseldorf, Dublin or Helsinki. So I'm guessing that he wasn't a country boy. But he has played fiddle and mandolin in country bands. A lot of strange things have come out of India over the ages, and Ranjeet is no exception. Ranjeet now lives in New York City because if he can make it there, he can make it anywhere. I've seen his official bio. It talks about his classical and jazz training on the violin, his studies at Berklee College of Music, all the stuff that he's written and performed, plus all of the instruments that he plays. He even talks about litmus tests for good songs and information globalization. Obviously this is a guy who wants to be taken seriously! Well so far that hasn't happened, but you've got to admire him for still hoping.

DeWITT was born on a small island off of the coast of New Jersey called Manhattan. However, it is important to keep in mind that his family origins are in Mississippi, where the gene pool has always been somewhat questionable. DeWitt can't stand either Jim or Ranjeet and doesn't believe that they have evloved much beyond the amoeba/paramecium level of existence. This helps to maintain a tension level within the band that he feels is necessary to good songwriting and performing. Just look at the classic examples of tension filled relationships and the art that they have spawned - John Lennon/Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger/Keith Richards, Jimmy Page/Robert Plant, Dean Martin/Jerry Lewis. DeWitt feels that he is able to play with these morons because of the invaluable experience gained in previous gigs with such luminaries as Tiny Tim, Killer Willard the Boxing Kangaroo, Christina's Chimps and the Harmonica Rascals (complete with the midget who played the huge harmonica). When you've been on the road with acts like these, D. Saxmo doesn't seem to be all that much of a stretch.

D. SAXMO’s music is a genetically engineered harmonic, convergence of non-ethnically cleansed homegrown honk and dysfunctional D. Saxmo dreams. It is the band's goal to help maintain the integrity of the sideways aspects of reality. They don't ask that you abandon your reality or adopt another. No. They only wish to make you aware of all of the different angles that this reality can be viewed from. It's a really neat system that doesn't require a secret handshake or anything. Just listen to the music and go with it. While playing live at a party D. Saxmo got to see a group of investment bankers embrace the song “Wienee Man” as an anthem of sorts. Stranger things have happened. D. Saxmo is obviously about the sum of its parts. Math not being one of their better subjects, this concept sails on by the band members and they each insist that the world revolves around them. Silly. Put together Ranjeet's melodic sensibility, DeWitt's rhythmic power and Jim's...,well just put Jim in there and you have D. Saxmo. Please don't try this at home! Remember, controlled circumstances are dif
