Kid Chocolate's Original Creole & Soul Band
Editorial Reviews In the Summer of 1985, William aka "The Kid" organized an ensemble known as the Big Kahuna Band. After playing what he describes as "specialty gigs" performing much cover work, William decided along with his cohorts to abandon this path to pursue creating, arranging and producing an eclectic style of music known as "World Beat." Simply stated, "a rhthym/percussion drive sound buffet." The artistic talents of his cousins Gerard Avant and Jerrel Battle along with his youngest brother Ivan, needed a creative outlet to allow their collective and creative energies to flow. In Spring 1997, they became Kid Chocolate's Original Creole & Soul Band.
