Editorial Reviews
The Stinking 9th Category
(John Michael Bordeaux)
Harmonically dense, scary-swirly, aural cinematography: light without heat. The line has been drawn, and history will decide who really built a bridge to the 21st century.
About the Artist
The Stinking 9th Category is the barely attached head of the Terrible Triad of the Osmotica label (see Sideways 8 and Manipulaator). Bearing the red mark of Mao's scorn they nonetheless set off down the shining path searching where rock and electronica meet.
Album Description
Synthesized. Torn. Rhythmic. Intense. Sometimes almost danceable. Sometimes nearly complete. Searching in the dark with razor sharp tools for that spot where the vulgar and sublime meet. Listen and you'll know why 'intellectual' is a bad word.
