    First official reissue of The Weeds (a.k.a. The Lollipop Shoppe), authorized by Fred Cole of Dead Moon fame! Life for a young band on the road & on the way up is a merry chaos. When "You Must Be a Witch" proved to be a hit single, The Weeds were hot. The group regularly opened for The Doors, The Seeds, and Moby Grape as well as a few one-offs with the likes of Buffalo Springfield, Janis Joplin, and Jefferson Airplane. This is `60s garage/psychedelia as its best. A long-awaited re-issue, the album has been beautifully re-mastered by Mark "Bosshoss" Taylor. Limited edition LP on 180-gram audiophile vinyl.

    4 out of 5 stars This is very good 80's straight up pounding metal.......2007-02-09

    I felt compelled to write a review of this when I saw just one person had done so (thanks for getting things started man). This music absolutely rates more than one review. If you are a fan of 80's Metal this is for you. You WILL like this music. The vocs are clean - powerful singing; just the drummer doing a very good job of belting it out. The drumming also is powerful as is the guitar and bass playing. They do not sound like they are trying to copy anyone. Exciter alternates between medium tempo metal to speed. They never go as fast as possible or as slow as possible (whatever that means). Also, they don't try too hard to impress only to come up short - they pound their music out with conviction. I was a fan when they were putting their albums out and was surprised that they got "left behind." It just occurred to me - if you are a fan of Raven or Saxon you WILL like Exciter - Raven and Saxon also seem to have been "left behind." Sadly, the music biz only had room for so many bands - Mettallica, Megadeth, Slayer, all bands that I love - but other bands tried and tried but just could not get noticed. Exciter is not power metal or wannabee metal. It is heavy metal that you simply will enjoy listening to - you may occasionally grit your teeth, jump up and down, and forget what it was you were just doing . . . and say to yourself "this is some damn good metal!" I don't give it 5 stars because it's not a classic. But it is very, very good metal.

    Exciter was one of the best metal bands ever!!! The vocals, guitars and drums are awesome! Recommend this to any speed metal fan!!!

    This cd is as far removed from country as the Athiest is from the Bible! This music is a mixture of jumping jazz, rockabilly(I mean the bill Haley & The Comets kind), and western swing(Bob Wills style, NOT country!!!). So pelase ignore reviews tha tcall thsi retro country. This music has a lot of swingign improvisation, which givesit that jazz feeling, and the cd really swings hard, as much as it rocks. It isn't really rockabilyl, unless you consider Bill Haley's early 50's stuff as rockabilly, but their is stand up slap bass, a horn, and Condo's very Hoagy Carmichael sounding vocals(he even looks a little like Hoagy!). A great cd if you like jazz and wetsern swing. Great for jitterbug dancing too!!

    Ever heard of Ray Condo? Probably not, I was in the same boat till I ended up at their show here at the Tractor - I liked the other two bands on the bill, thats how I ended up there. Ray and the boys came on pretty late into the evening, with a couple of drinks in hand they started their set...and oh what a set it was. They were just phenomenal to watch, each of them a fantastic musical and stage presence. They outright blew the two other bands out of the water.
    Rock on guys, I loved your show and can't wait to see you again...

    I started out with BR5-49. Ray Condo goes a step beyond. You can't help but tap your feet to his music. I got Door to Door Maniac two months ago, and haven't gotten tired of it yet! I'll more than likely end up buying all of his CDs

    This was my first Ray Condo CD, but it won't be my last. Condo and his band blend country, rockabilly, and swing to make some really enjoyable music. If you don't dance this one will make you want to start.

          2007 debut solo album from the vocalist with Funk band Beat Root and daughter of Deep Purple bassist Roger Glover. Gillian is an exquisite singer/songwriter, with an exceptional sense of melody. Red Handed is a collection of rocking Blues based numbers (featuring legendary drummer Woody Woodmansey)and beautiful acoustic songs. Gillian first released recordings were on Roger Glover's 2002 album Snapshot on backing vocals, and lead vocals on the song 'Bargain Basement'. In 2005 she sang backing vocals on the Ian Gillan album Gillan's Inn. There is huge interest in Gillian from the Deep Purple connection - as evidenced by 1,000 hits a week on her MySpace.             Jim Infantino's first album, Strawman, is one of the finest albums ever made, a mixture of great tunes, wonderful vocals and lyrics powerful enough to make you laugh and cry. I have not heard this album, but I've seen Jim live, and that makes for an very enjoyable evening.

            Jim Infantino, and his band Jim's Big Ego, have yet to release an album that I haven't enjoyed. Jim Infantino's poetic talent and his acoustic guitar make for an excellent folk sound.Definitely worth listening to.

            Fred Cole has been screamin at the top of his lungs since 1965. Music that has no heart is music that has no soul. Dead Moon represent what is right about Rock-n-Roll in this day in age. They do all the recordings themselves and in the process leaving a bit of there souls for the listeners. One of the Pacific Northwest most underrated bands put out a gem here.
