    I first heard of UVR sometime around 1999 when they were playing a show with my then-boyfriend's band. I'm not so into pop-punk - I usually went to the shows to support my boyfriend - but I liked UVR and bought their CD, The New Superpimp.

    I've been keeping up with the band over the years and reviewed this album in my high-school paper when it came out in 2002. I bought Blood on the Satellite when it came out in 2004, too.

    I think Plastic Girl is UVR's best album. It's pretty consistent; if you like one song, you'll probably like them all. "She's That Kind of Girl," which appears on Superpimp, is my favorite UVR song to date. "My Car" and "Perfect Eternity" are other favorites.

    This album is a must-have for pop-punk fans.

    I like heavier rock like linkin park and three days grace. but my favorite bands sre the ones no one has heard of. got 2 girlfriends has to be one of the best songs that has come out in a while. they say the f bomb once in one song for parents who have parental gidence. i have listen to this album over 50 times and it never seems to get old. I would suggest this to any one who is looking for a good band.

    you've gotta love this pop/rock album...it gives you so much energy and just puts you in a good mood. Clean lyrics that you can relate to and great music...makes me proud to be from Tracy! i love you guys!!!

    I've followed UVR ever since 1995 when they were first starting out. Their sound has really evolved over the years and this is most definitly their best album to date!!!! This CD is a must have in your collection. Buy this CD and help spread the word that UVR ROCKS!!!!!!!

    I met these guys at a few of their concerts in the area, one at my own high school, and their music is as tight as they are. They definitely need and deserve your attention and exposure! Rock "doesn't really matter," my personal favorite on the album, and definitely try to see them and talk to them at a show near you.

    4 out of 5 stars Romance! Music! Comedy! And ELLEN FOLEY!.......2000-02-02

    Live stage shows are an art form much overlooked in America; so finding this CD was a wonderful surprise, as it allowed me to enjoy something I wouldn't otherwise ever have a chance to see: a play starring my favorite actress, ELLEN FOLEY! I've always been more impressed with her acting (NIGHT COURT) than her singing (BAT OUT OF HELL) and this CD contains more of her presence and personality than any record I've heard her on! It's mainly the story of a woman who has 2 encounters with a man who, while he comes across as optimistic and uplifting on the surface, is really a self-destructive personality with problems of his OWN! (I could probably relate because I've met the type!) Highly entertaining; highly recommended! (Now if only someone would reissue her solo album, NIGHTOUT; or get her to do a new album... we can hope, right?)

      What can you say? This is one of the most creative and intruiging mix albums I've ever heard--Mr. Tanaka is "selectah" par excellence. From Chet Baker singing George Harrison to "Moments in Love" all the way to Gato Barberi's "Last Tango in Paris" I guess I can now lapse into cliche and say that it's an "eclectic" listen that's "infused" with a "unique Japanese sensibility." Don't listen to me anymore, just go buy it!!!

          Orange Pekoe is a prodigious band and has become one of my best "musical discoveries" of the past year. Last year I had the chance to get the Modern Lights CD; a Thai friend talked me into it. I was not disappointed at all, the same happened with Organic Plastic Music.

          It feels like all the songs in the CD were meant to be there. It shows that it was not easy for them to arrange such a good selection (and sequence) in a small plastic disc. It is rare to find a CD that makes sense from A to Z, this one does.

          I checked out this album on a whim. I'm going to have to do that more often as this album knocked me out of my socks!

          Its absolutely amazing! Tomoko Nagashima has a dynamite voice with some great lyrics, and backed by Kazuma Fujimoto's skillfull arrangements there is no stopping these two.
