4 out of 5 stars a real gone gasser, man!!.......2003-02-01

no deep thoughts here. no introspective musings. no harsh critiques about society. just fun short hopping tunes about girls, cars, & beer. these boys from missouri have captured the "surf" sound better than any california band since dick dale, & this mix of obscure covers & retro originals is just the remedy for the schlock radio churns out. maybe eminem wouldnt be as upset as he is if he had listened to a little of this during his formative years.

5 out of 5 stars www.horrorreview.com review.......2006-04-04

This comp features the music from the movies of our very own Canadian indie horror movie man Brett Kelly. From his early films of Night Songs and Final Curtain to his recent The Feral Man and the now released on Tempe Video, The Bonesetter. This album showcases all that has been included in his films, but more in a remix version allowing for a night at the Techno Goth party. I was hoping there would be more on the score side of things, more ambience and drone then an upbeat mix of Nine Inch Nails meets KMFDM with Carpenter-esque melodies. 4 songs in Act 1:Night Songs. 4 songs in Act II: The Feral Man. 4 tracks in Act III: The Bonesetter. 4 songs in Act IV: Final Curtain and a few bonus remixes. The only tune I can really sink my teeth into would be Resonate in The Final Curtain. That?s the only one without all the fancy techno mix. I?m not saying that it is bad, not at all. The way it's all put together is actually quite surprising. The remixes and such are done to an exquisite composition. The way they intermingle quotes from movies into the tunes are quite fantastic. These guys sure have a straight head on their shoulders in terms of compositions, well, it's really Matt Carty who should get the thumbs up for his untamed melodies, but it?s too much in the techno department for me. I give props where props are due. And this album is surely the bomb. Just not my bag. But I must say keep your eyes out for upcoming projects from Dudez Productions, especially The Bonesetter Returns.
