On Vacuuming the Forest Amilcar successfully transports the listener to a calming meditative estate of mind. By mixing sounds of South American crickets, cicadas, water creeks and sub-tropical birds with melodies of magical flutes, classical piano, harps, bells, guitars, strings and synths, Amilcar achieves a beautiful New Age Album. The classical instrumentation is sometimes rich and deep, adding an ambient feel to Amilcar's compositions that has not been fully exposed until this album. Vacuuming the Forest comes from the idea of incorporating soothing sounds of nature usually found on Tropical and Sub-Tropical forests into the musician studio. Amilcar uses a combination of recorded sounds of nature that we often tend to ignore. Frankly in few lines, Amilcar is a unique composer, producer and keyboardist with a different scope from the traditional musician. Releasing his music through New Vibes Music, Amilcar donates proceeds from sales to humanitarian causes.
About the Artist
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Amílcar started studying piano at age of six, but his hyperactivity let him abandoned the piano lessons until he was 17, when he rediscovers it again. Amilcar arrived in the U.S. working as a Financial Analyst for a shipping company after obtained a Master in Science in Shipping, Trade and Finance from the City University, London, England before diving headfirst into music. During the years, he traveled around the world discovering cultures, and international music. A Mother Earth lover, he started recording sounds of nature and incorporated them into his music.
